After getting faint positives last cycle and it resulting in bleeding 3 days early than usual, I was feeling so set back and defeated, that was the first ever time I'd seen a positive since we have been trying. This will be month 8 now, I fell pregnant so quickly and unexpectedly with my other children, it really does make you feel so down every single month when AF shows and you think, why isn't it happening? 😔
But.... onwards and upwards ladies! I'm currently on CD 7.

I've decided not to test with OPKS this month and just let it be! :) maybe the relaxed approach will work? Haha

Anyone else with a similar cycle? :)

CD4 here and Cycle 4. I'm going the opposite direction a bit this time around and doing more rather than less - got the clearblue advanced fertility monitor and got a fertilily cup (it might be bs but I don't mind giving it a try..). I also have been bad in drinking water so trying to be better with that too. I will be away on CD8-9 so just hoping that not dtd on those two days won't mess with anything ..

I used a soft cup and worked every time. Leave it in for 12 hours. Also used pressed

Oh nice! Thanks @Emmamoo89! Will take a look :) I kinda assumed it's just fertility friendly and doesn't actually increase the chances - ie doesn't harm but doesn't improve chances either? So is it just fertility friendly option for those that usually need lube or does it provide additional support if you usually don't use lube?

Hello ladies, may I please join? @BabyBx I am a little bit behind you, CD1 for me today and onto cycle 9. Like you, I am feeling quite deflated. We began TTC for a March baby and not in a million years did we think we'd still be here trying so close to what would be our ideal due date.... I am 38 and no children yet and beginning to think whether itll happen for us.
I began taking lots of vitamins each month to help us along - mega high doses of Vit C, Vit D, Folate, I eat liver and supplement with Coq10 too so in addition to the stress, it's also been quite an expensive undertaking already!
I did the ferti-lily one cycle but didn't leave it as long as 12 hours. @Emmamoo89 may I please ask how you came to this finding? Very curious
@lili2308 I did the advance monitor but didn't find it reliable if I may offer my opinion. The cheap LH strips are a good and much cheaper alternative
Good luck to all on this thread, hopefully this will be our cycle

Cycle 3 ttc baby #2 here. Currently 11DPO but have been spotting brown/red since 8DPO and testing BFN each day since then. I was convinced I was pregnant this time so very sad to start red spotting today with lower back pain. I've had every symptom of early pregnancy too so really frustrated! I have PCOS and my cycles are super unpredictable - usually around 38 days - I'm at CD 28 but think I ovulated on CD 17. I don't think I ovulated every month either so will likely have to wait an extra month! DD took 6 months to conceive and she's nearly 2. Having a wallowing day today and then I'll strap my positive pants on tomorrow!

Can I join please :) cycle day 2 . First month properly TTC , though we had a CP last month after one night of unprotected sex , drunk after my work Xmas do! I previously felt quite chill about the whole TTC thing but bizarrely since the CP I just feel desperate to get pregnant now - very strange how our bodies / minds work.

I’ve bought some Clear Blue ovulation tests but not sure whether to use them as I might get obsessive.

Here’s hoping this becomes a thread of BFPs :)

It's supposed to mimic ewcm. I didn't need help in that part but it is a nice lube. Don't need loads of it.

I just googled how long can you leave it it and said 12 hours and wanted to give it the best chance.

NatGee · 05/01/2023 16:50

@Emmamoo89 OK thank you, I didnt know that, may try it again :)
welcome @Pixielou16 its good to give yourself a day to commiserate although seems a little early at 11dpo! very few people test positive then so theres a little hope, if your flow doesnt arrive soon?
@LucyEleanorModeratz I was very chilled too in the beginning but at cycle 9 Im beginning to feel deflated haha seems like everyone has had children around me so it's time! Good luck, hopefully you will conceive this cycle :D

lili2308 · 05/01/2023 17:00

@NatGee re ovulation stick - I read that before on some forums that the normal ones are more accurate, but I don't really get it. How do I know if they are accurate or not ?

Pixielou16 · 05/01/2023 17:07

@NatGee yes you're right! It was more the brown turning to red spotting that had me moping about! I said to DH that it would be great if there was a really clear sign you were pregnant, like your belly button turning blue or something 🤣

Sierra26 · 05/01/2023 18:04

Hi all!

We’re at the end of cycle 2 but cycles 1 & 2 weren’t ideal so trying to see 3 as a fresh opportunity.

Cycle 1 NONE of my OPKs worked so I was worried I wasn’t ovulating at all but had symptoms around CD14.

Cycle 2 (current cycle) I used Premom OPKs and CBAD and think I ovulated CD17 which is later than I’d think is normal for me (I was quite stressed in week 2 so maybe that was an issue) and meant no BD opportunity as we were apart. Also had mega ovulation pain for the first time ever. Weird.

My cycles are usually 28 days but today is CD29 with just my normal spotting so far. Expecting AF to be a bit late this month to compensate for the late ovulation.

Im taking high dose vit C, vit b complex and folic acid. Also have gynae appt in 2 weeks to talk about the spotting pre-AF as I’m worried re what that means for luteal phase.

Thanks for reading :D hope 2023 holds lots of BFPs!
