Any other fellow TTCers trying for #2?

Just wondering if there is anyone else out there trying for number 2? Fourth cycle in, having gotten pregnant quickly on 1st. I assumed it would be the same this time around but no joy as of yet.

Congrats @Banditrules !! Fingers crossed all is ok at the 8 week scan, I know I will be doing the same!

@Jigglemonster it is dragging here too, got that January feeling 🙄I got a peak on OPK on Friday so assuming I ovulated on Saturday. Managed to DTD on Thurs, Fri and Sunday so hopefully we are pretty well covered.
Now just got the dreaded TWW 😑

@TunnocksTCake - was that a normal OPK test? I'm using the clearblue ones this month (because I kept missing the surge on the normal ones) and got the static on Friday but my temperature still hasn't increased so I think I'm still waiting to ovulate.

Ah yeah, 3 days is good going. Hopefully the TWW won't drag on. This time of year everything feels slower

@Jigglemonster Yes it was just a cheapy strip one. Looks like we are on similar cycles! :) I was going to do the CB ones this month but never got round to buying them in time! I hate that wait for BBT to rise after the peak, so infuriating! Sadly I cant do BBT this time as my sleep is so disturbed by my toddler but I try to track CM as well to get a clear picture. Pretty sure I Ovulated over the weekend.

I’m still waiting round this month and tracking, although I’m very consistent my cycles are long and it feels like forever. I don’t usually ovulated until CD 21.

I’m currently ttc baby #3, feel like I’m going more mad already this time.
I had a chemical pregnancy in November and I’m now on month 4 of trying.

My period has just ended so now onto trying again 🤞🏻 Good luck everyone x

Thanks everyone! You’re all right, the wait for the 12 week scan seems so long, especially if you don’t ‘feel’ pregnant outside of a bit of sickness etc.

Hey everyone and congratulations to those with a BFP! I'm 1dpo... Well at least I think so it's so hard to know exactly as I think ovulation can be up to 48hrs after peak and I find tracking bbt really difficult as I'm not a great sleeper generally. Fingers crossed we did enough this month. Might try and dtd for a few more days just to be sure but my dh is starting to flag a bit so we shall see 😂 here comes the long tww!

I got my BFP on Monday for #2! DS is 2 in May. Was planning on TTC from this month, took us 7 months with our first so this slight whoops was a slight shock but a very welcome one! Sending baby dust to all x

Hi all. We're just entering second cycle of our TTC journey. Baby one was conceived on the second cycle and is now 13 months. I'm 38, nearly 39, and fear that this journey will not be successful due to my age. This has not been helped by the fact that the cycle that just ended was 7 days longer than normal. I did two pregnancy tests and both were negative. This shift has really worried me. Which leads me to a question...

I was expressing milk until last month. Is it normal for your cycle to behave abnormally when you first stop expressing/breastfeeding?

I'm now considering pushing back TTC until May to avoid a Christmas / January baby! That's what I am but our family has sooo many Jan babies. I'd love another spring baby! But obviously we can't plan these things and a 10% chance is low anyway.

@Greetingsfellows If you've been a bit anxious, maybe that rocked your cycle? I exclusively expressed for 14 months but weaned very gradually. I just checked my data and this caused a 36 day cycle!!

@LeopardLover I have been thinking about birthdays too! We can try from next month, had a few things to organise first mostly the sale of our house which finallllllly exchanges today 🤞🏻. But next month would give me a Christmas week baby and my son is 16th January so the following month I would have both children.

I don’t know how much people hate having their birthday in December? My birthday is July and it’s lovely being off in the sunshine

@Giles1008 I've never considered it until I saw someone else mention it! I checked and with my rough ovulation date in April, I'd be looking at mid-Jan. With a c-section too I guess it won't be way off! I think I'm going to move it to May 🙈 although we're off to Glastonbury so that could be fun 😅

I've always loved my birthday to be fair, I've just heard people moan about their kids having Dec birthdays haha. July is the dream!

Hi, I hope it’s okay if I can join this group. I have a dd who turned 2 in October.
I will be coming off the pill in 3 weeks. I’ve just got myself some pregnacare conceive max for the vitamins. hopefully by the time my period regulates I would have enough in my system.
i didn’t have to plan much for my 1st so will have to see how long this will take

@MrsNA Welcome! That's exciting. It's nice to see other mums waiting until their kids are two! I thought I was rare at first 😅 I do wish I could fast forward the having enough vitamins in my system bit!

Hi ladies, sorry for dipping in and out of the chat a bit. Interesting your comments about the birthday months.
As an educator my ideal is an autumn term birthday and also we have short genes in my family so if it I had a short, summer born, I’d worry about them being picked on.
Due date would be 16th Oct if I conceived this month. However my first born is December 8th, so with Christmas that does make that time of year very expensive!
So far, having a birthday at that time has not had any negative impacts except some of her friends are ill at party time.

I’m on cd13 today and using cb ovulation tests but no sign of anything yet and I don’t usually ovulate until day 17 anyway.

Where is everyone else at for this month?

@T4Opal We are the opposite, we are all so tall and my DD who is 2 is often mistaken for a 3-4 year old! Shes a september baby and I worry about that 'extra' year at nursery before she goes to school & her getting bored. She will turn 5 3 weeks after starting! Thats not stopping us with another autumn baby though, if we have managed it this cycle they will be around a week apart 😅
We arent getting any younger though and it took so long to conceive DD we thought we should just get on with it!
Im on 5DPO and going mad with the wait but got a busy weekend ahead and of course a busy toddler to keep me distracted!

We'll be trying for no.2 soon. It's interesting that people have mentioned putting off trying to avoid certain months as that's what we're doing. I'm a December baby and hated it as a child 😂. Our first is a summer baby. Hopefully don't end up regretting delaying it.

Hey Ladies, hope you’re all well. I’m tracking O this month still but mainly to know when AF will arrive. I think this month we’re not going to actively try but not avoid it. If we were to catch this month the due date would be on or a few days around my sons birthday. Think I should get my peak tonight or tomorrow. But nice to take the pressure off myself a bit and relax

@T4Opal I’m on CD14, just tracking this month. I’m not sure when I ovulate I think around CD20?

@GemLou88 will you start TTC next month? I’m having a wobble over a Christmas baby my app suggests a DD of 25th December 😬 and January (my son’s birthday). So tough!

@LightHousePanda will you start in May to avoid a Winter baby? I’m really debating waiting, but then other days feel so impatient to get started. My DS has been terrible at sleeping lately so that’s putting me off too 😂

@TunnocksTCake my DD turned 5 on the first week of term. Went to pre-school until the July before turning 5 and never got bored. Hope that helps :)

@Giles1008 I’m hoping to do the same as this month until maybe April. Be a bit more relaxed and less pressure on myself. Not preventing but not worrying about how much we DTD in my fertile window. I think I’m ovulating today. I didn’t managed to LH test yesterday due to me and OH having a sickness bug and we last dtd Tuesday so I won’t be obsessing POAS in the TWW. Did your house exchange yesterday? That’s stressful enough

Do you think I have ovulated? It seems to be a few days earlier than I expected, CD15 other times it’s been CD18.

The line wasn’t actually darker than control but maybe it was the day before?! CD14?

@LightHousePanda Oh this makes me feel less guilty about waiting until May haha.

@Giles1008 Oh that's interesting - looks like a peak at CD15 to me. To be honestly I use the Clear Blue Digital ones because they are so easy but they are pricey 😅
