Just wondering if there is anyone else out there trying for number 2? Fourth cycle in, having gotten pregnant quickly on 1st. I assumed it would be the same this time around but no joy as of yet.

33 year old & TTC #2, DC was 2 at the back end of last year. Currently on our 2nd cycle & after symptom spotting & testing like a maniac last month (never REALLY believed the BFN coz you know, not out til AF arrives), I’m trying to be more chilled about it this month. Currently no urge to test yet but I’m only 6dpo & only have easy@home tests in the house so that urge could well increase over the next few days!

I fell pregnant first cycle with our first DC so took it for granted that it would happen again, now it hasn’t for my own sake I need to relax about it a bit!

AF has arrived today, we haven’t started trying yet so glad to now get going.

What OPK kits do people use? I have quite long and unpredictable cycles so want to
track straight away.

@Giles1008 I used easy@home and clear blue digital this month (one lot wouldn’t do apparently!) but they both showed peak at the same time which also happened to fall in line with my predicted ovulation on the Flo app so I’d recommend either from my experience.

Going for number 2, baby girl is 2.5 now and I got pregnant the same day we decided to have her! So took for granted the struggle it can be. My pregnancy with her also gave me a thyroid problem, although is controlled well with meds.
My husband wasn't ready as soon as I was, but he is now. We were waiting for my Dec period to come to then start tracking...and it didn't arrive!! I'm on cycle day 56 wtaf!! Never missed one before. Freaking out my body's broken now (I'm 35 this year). Have been using opk sticks and actually got a peak 2 days ago, have been having sex every other day for 3 weeks! Exhausted. But don't know whether to believe the peak or not because I've lost faith in my overies now. Sadly. Waiting for either a pos test or AF, be excited for either!

@CZ9294 mines predicted 17th! feels like ages away!x

@CZ9294 its weird my app predicted i'd ovulate on 2nd but I didn't get a static smiley until 4th, but it's usually accurate with my AF. So i'm wondering if my period will be due later now than the app says? who knows it's all a minefield to me 🤣x

Yep! Could have written this myself, fell on our first try with my daughter but now 5 months in just feeling worse and worse each month that goes by! How do you stay positive 😫

Well my positive-ish looking test was an indent. BFN today 😞

Going to get bloods done to check thyroid and any possible vitamin deficiencies. Went for Accupuncture and was advised to sort out my diet (not eating enough and need more protein) and to stop putting so much pressure on myself.

As bonkers as it sounds it’s comforting to know I’m not the only one who didn’t fall pregnant quickly on number 2. It’s tough going. I feel like I’m right back to TTC #1 and being totally consumed by it.

Cycle #5 of TTC baby #2 for us also, 12dpo and just got a BFN which I’m really sad about as I thought this was the month, have had sore breasts since 1dpo which was unusual for me :(
i find it so hard to not get in the dumps mentally end of each months, any tips from fellow TTCers?

For my first baby it took 5 cycles for my second that I miscarried it took 8, I’m on cd1 this morning of my second cycle. Yes the frustration is real, I feel like life is on hold.

I'm 34 and TTC#2, on cycle 7 now and finding it quite stressful. #1 was a bit of a surprise so had assumed that #2 would be fairly quick but starting to worry a bit now.

@Rosie250 - I've no advice on that front unfortunately, I'm the same each month. I keep mentally calculating how old my first will be with a sibling then it doesn't happen and I'm disappointed.

@NewMomma21 - what did you think of acupuncture? I haven't done any research into it but it's next on my list.
I did two sets of bloods at home, progesterone day 21 and the amh/fsh/lh etc on day 3. All came back normal except amh which came back very low which is a bit alarming because it means I have a low egg reserve- though not a direct determinant of fertility means I have to hurry up or it becomes harder and ivf is less likely to work if needed.
Despite this news I'm glad I did them, it gave me some comfort that the controllable things (hormones etc) were in normal range rather than waiting longer to find out if there was a problem. It wasn't too dear either.

@Giles1008 my cycles are quite long with a short luteal phase so I was a bit confused by my dates so got an ovucore. It's for internal temperature monitoring (I'm rubbish at remembering in the morning so this is foolproof!) It's really good, downside is that you can only know for sure after you ovulate but it can help to see which app is most accurate. For example Flo doesn't work at all for me, it's always out by loads.

@Jigglemonster It’s funny how quick
you forgot everything, I can barely remember anything about my cycles from last time we were TTC but just downloaded Premom again and it has some of my OPKs saved. Seems I was ovulating on CD21. I’ve downloaded Flo but probably should have gone with Natural Cycles as I used this to
prevent pregnancy for years so it has quite a lot of data on me but it’s double to price.

I think if I used OPKs I should be fine and DTD on those few days before. 🤞🏻 I’m hopeful it won’t take too long but maybe I’m being naive it’s so difficult to know. How old is your LO?

It is indeed very hard, but nice to know there are lots of us in it together and one day we will all get our BFP. I am the same as you, always worrying about the age gap between siblings, it’s so hard when you want to control it but we clearly can’t.
I started acupuncture last cycle.. i didn’t mind it but clearly no result for me in just one month, I’ll stick to it and see though. It is a bit expensive though..
i found out I was anemic through an iron blood test and he said that with supplements and acupuncture the “quality” of my periods should improve (apparently should be bright red throughout and no clots).. AF only a few days away I am assuming for me so let’s see

@1greentea You are a machine! Impressive you managed to DTD so often 😅 Well if you weren't pregnant I'm assuming it's just one weird cycle!? Fingers crossed for this month and you've definitely covered your bases!

@Rosie250 Ugh, so disappointing - sorry! I always found the months I didn't conceive I had lots of symptoms. We haven't started TTC yet but I remember it being all I could thing about. I hope next month is the month for you!

How long did everyone take folic acid / prenatal vitamins before starting TTC? Realistically it'll take me months and months to get that BFP but I want to make sure I have enough in my system before we TTC... just in case!

Hey ladies, would like to join! Currently month 10 of TTC #2 which has been a bit surprise after #1 was conceived very quickly with no complications at all. I've also had multiple miscarriages since trying for #2 which I had never had before so it's been a difficult time. Really hoping this year will be our year 🤞🏻 currently CD6 so in the really boring part and time is dragging!

I’ve found Accupuncture quite good I feel like I’m doing something proactive. It definitely helped after I had a MMC before DS. It is quite expensive though. I’ll do it weekly for one full cycle. I’ll hopefully get day 3 bloods done next week and know more then.

Sorry to read about everyone’s MCs. It’s a difficult and sad experience. Hopefully those rainbow babies and BFPs are just around the corner for us all 💐

Hi ladies, I’m ttc #3! Cycle 18 😑 no positive tests. DS1 was unplanned, DS2 took 6months, had an ectopic in 2020 that was totally unplanned, had sex once 😏 and now…. Struggling. Having a break this and next cycle as going to Rhodes in October for sisters wedding.
starting to took at fertility clinics for some help. I’ve had some tests already done and may not be ovulating regularly, scan all normal though

I started taking folic acid at the start of Dec, knowing we'd be trying at the end of the month when I was due to ovulate. Figured it might take a few months to conceive so it should have built up by then!

I'm fairly sure I had to go on a higher dose of folic with my first though based on BMI... I can't quite remember it was a bit of a blur.

I’m 8dpo today & trying to convince myself not to test. I had that many negatives last month from testing early til AF that I’ve almost told myself that waiting is more likely to get a positive, which I know is ridiculous! I think probably I’m just trying to delay the inevitable BFN 😅

Can I join please? TTC no2. Dc1 is 9 months I took 4 cycles which was a mmc then 7 cycles and conceieved again which resulted in dc. Then whilst breastfeeding I got pregnant when dc was 5 months accidentally. No periods returned but it was a chemical. We did hope for a small gap anyway but I suppose the chemical made me then picture it. There would have been 14m between them. I got my period back in Dec but I knew I was ovulating before that period so this is now cycle 2. I was really hoping for a nice quick TTC this time round as first time was heartbreaking and all consuming. But now I feel like it’s going to take an age again and I’m not going to get my small gap. I have 3 friends pregnant all with their first who conceived so quickly like 1-2 cycles i wish I could have a turn at that instead of months of heartache. I was also really hoping this would be the month and I would get a September baby as my first I lost was a sept baby. I think I ovulated this month and think I am 9dpo. But with dc and my chemical I had thrown up before now and my resting heart rate on my fitbit isn’t doing anything so I know I am out 😢. Thinking I should maybe give up and just be happy with my beautiful dc.

Hey ladies. Would love to join you all on this journey. I’m 34 ttc number 2. DS turned 2 in October. I came off the pill the end of October and had two periods since. Counting this as cycle 3 and on CD5. AF ended yesterday so waiting for my fertile window. I had a MMC before my DS, but both times we conceived first cycle.
