7/8 DPO BFN&feeling down

Hi everyone,

Not sure what I’m looking for here. Maybe someone to knock some sense in to me or some support from fellow TWWers.

Im on cycle 4 of TTC number 2. DS is 13m and I got pregnant quickly and easily. I know 4 cycles is not that long but I’m feeling really down after getting a BFN today at 7/8 DPO. I know this is early early testing but I was sure we had the timing and opportunity really good this month and I might get the BFP.

Feeling like I’m out and quite down about it 😕

@NewMomma21 Hi! Sorry to hear you're feeling down ☹️ TTC is an emotional rollercoaster. 7/8 dpo is still so early it's actually quite rare to get a BFP that early! You're still very much in with a chance! I'm 13dpo today and a bfn on a cheapie and af due tomorrow so im certain im out, it's just a crappy feeling waiting for it to arrive to start again the following cycle! Remember each cycle there's about 20% chance of a BFP xx

Thanks for your kind reply Bluemilan. Sorry to hear you are out although I guess that mantra of not being out until AF arrives applies to us both. Have you been TTC for long?

Im sat here having a good cry. I just really want a baby and naively assumed it would happen easily. Definitely riding that rollercoaster.

You're not out yet - I had a BFN at 9DPO, which turned into my now 13 month old

Thanks for your reply! So lovely to hear you got a BFP past 9 DPO. Hopefully it’s just around the corner just finding it hard to stay positive

@NewMomma21 yes we've been trying for awhile now. On and off for almost two years but only recently found out that one of the medications I was on previously cause stop ovulation so not sure why they prescribed that when they knew we were TTC . So I think it's around cycle 5 officially since stopping that medication.

We already have 3 DC, and I know my pregnancy symptoms quite well (sore boobs pre af which never happens, tiredness and a blood hound nose!) so fairly sure I'm out but it's easy to cling on to hope for the next few hours until af arrives 😂

I think we all have the idea that it will happen instantly as that's what we're taught when we were younger, the reality of it is slightly different isn't it! Xx

@NewMomma21 hey there sorry to hear youre commiserating, may i join the pity party? Also feeling very sorry for myself having gotten a bfn this morning on what is 10dpo for me. Thought it might have been our month as my bbt looked promising 😥
7/8dpo is incredibly early, will you be testing again soon?
@lilichi congratulations on your little one, does give us hope :) do you remember when you got your bfp?

@NatGee I was so convinced I was out (had the whitest BFN ever at 9DPO and I had cramping/spotting to the point that I told DH my period was starting). Because of that I didn't test again til 13DPO because I thought it was odd that my period hadn't properly started!

Sorry to hear of your negative result, it really just so disappointing when that second line doesn’t appear. But 10 DPO is early and you still have a decent chance. Really hoping you get that positive result soon! I really thought it was our month too. So hard when you feel you have done everything right.

I have one test left which I have given to my husband. Unsure when I might take it. Not sure I can handle the disappointment.

Stay positive! I didn't get even the faintest line on a FRER until 13dpo and that is now my beautiful 3 month old.

It's so hard when your actively trying but fingers crossed you get your BFP soon. ❤️

7/8DPO is too early to count yourself out!! It's also too early to test but I tested from 7 DPO too! The most popular day for implantation is 9DPO so keep positive (no pun intended) I got my BFP on day 10 using a 6 days early digital CB! FRER was 12 DPO xxx

I was going to test again in the morning but reading here I think I’ll wait. I don’t know why I do it to myself. It’s so tough when it’s all you want.

Thanks so much! I know statistically it’s only around a 15% chance of getting a BFP on 8 DPO which technically I guess I’m not even. I feel like I abandon all reason and rational when it comes to testing. Going to hold off for a few days and hope for the best. Thanks again for replying

You're not the only one, I did too and I would've tested this morning so well done you if you've managed to hold off! Both times I didn't get anything until 10 DPO and be careful with FRER I had what I think was a very convincing indent line but was not pregnant... I don't like them even though some people swear by them!

Im in the same boat as you!
AF due tomorrow, had BFNs but swear I felt implantation! It took me 1.5 years to conceive last time! I cannot go through all that again 😪
