Random pregnancy test possible evap or positive?

First Post, long time lurker.

I was clearing out bathroom and found pregnancy tests that I had from eariler last year, the ones I used a few weeks apart back then were negative. I decided to use the ones left up just to get rid of them. One immediately came up with a line, irl it has colour, so I took the second and it is negative. Is the first a very clear coloured evap?

If I am pregnant, I'd be very far along as no longer in a relationship. My periods have been off for a while, spotting regularly more than having periods,last period was September which bloods say I'm fine. I have chronic Digestive issues so some symptoms I have had that made me test last year, were noted down to that when they came back negative originally. Will go and get a digital tomorrow and if negative, I'll not be rushing to the doctors and get on with cleaning and ignoring the urge to try out things that I'd forgotten about!

Are they in date? I would but a fresh pack thats deffo in date to double check

The first is positive. Was the second with the same urine?

Sometimes if you're quite far into the pregnancy you can get a negative result if there is too much hormone. Diluting the urine can help with this:

@Blueramble the line does look a little bit funny and broken so could possibly be an evap given the other one is negative😢

I’ve an an awfully clear and pink evap on those after the timeframe, so I’d be more tempted to say it’s an evap if the other test was negative. Hopefully the digital will clear it up for you tomorrow x

Did you test with a digital OP?

I have had false negatives with these strip tests. Get a digital one asap

I will go and buy a clear blue today - I have some cold/sinus thing so was wiped out yesterday.

The line in first picture came up quick, but I do think it's false/faulty though it is in date. everything I read about evaps are they appear after the time, but I'll let the clear blues decide. I will also try diluting my urine.

Evaps are cruel though.

Took multiple clearblues, all negative including the one's I diluted. I'm going to take them clearblues as accurate and putting it down to a weird evap. Thanks for the replies.

@Blueramble 😲 that's unbelievable! It's not even a faint line.
