I would do a different test as likely faulty in some way

JuniperandI · 24/12/2022 10:15

I've never seen that before! Maybe the piece of the strip is the wrong way round in that window?
Definitely take another test.

Harriet669 · 24/12/2022 10:44

Thanks for replying! Going to nip out and get a test later x

@Harriet669 good like. Try and get a frer if possible because if the CB here is positive then the frer will show a great line. How many dpo are you?

NameOchangeO1 · 24/12/2022 11:04

Report it to Clearblue as well. They need to know about production issues and they owe you a replacement!

TheShellBeach · 24/12/2022 13:42

They are supposed to look like that. If it's positive you see a cross. There is nothing wrong with the test. It's negative but not faulty.

allgoodthings84 · 24/12/2022 15:41

@TheShellBeach these ones aren’t meant to have a cross. Negative is blank and positive is just one line but should be vertical. Looking closer it kind of looks a bit flooded rather than a line though as it’s in the background in the same place in the control window too. It’s an invalid test anyway so best to take another

Harriet669 · 24/12/2022 20:39

@allgoodthings84 thank you! I'll report as we all know they're not cheapest! Af is due tomorrow, only took a test as I normally get spotting for 1-3 days before and I've had nothing, don't feel any different though so AF will still probably show up, this is cycle 13 x

@TheShellBeach as @allgoodthings84 said it's not supposed to be a cross one

Sorry. I didn't realise.

Harriet669 · 25/12/2022 21:57

Did take the other one from the packet and it did the same, must be faulty, didn't have chance to get a different test yesterday, no sign of AF which was due today, so will wait till tomorrow/Tuesday and go get a different one x

@Harriet669 how annoying. Definitely contact for a replacement/refund. If no AF today though it could just be…. Good luck! Go tomorrow as it’s after AF so will definitely have a decent line in a frer

Harriet669 · 27/12/2022 12:36

Was going to test today but had some spotting last night so thing AF is here

OP posts:
Findyourneutralspace · 27/12/2022 12:37

Ive had one like that before. I wasn’t pregnant, which was what I was hoping. It’s just a faulty test.

Findyourneutralspace · 27/12/2022 12:38

Ah, cross post

Devlin77 · 06/10/2025 12:59

I've just done a clear bluectest and the same happened. Perfect line but going across not down. X

And was it definitely one that only has one line for a positive and not a cross one? Because there are two different clearblue types of tests. So I was just checking.
