Insemination V Ov Testing - Are we getting it right?

Our 2nd month of trying using a at home insemination with a donor. Which can be a logistical nightmare for timings.

Currently 9/10 DPO? 29 day cycle. AF due 27th.

I hace written times on the right, insemination on the left.

1. Are our timings ok?
2. Are we 9 or 10 DPO?
3. How soon can we test?

I'd say you were 8dpo. Maybe a Christmas Day test?

So would you say ovulation happened 14th? Are we too early witb attempts?

I'd say 9dpo, I think O was the 13th, how long is your LP normally? I'd try to hold off testing until the 26th/27th.

12 days usually, that will be so difficult!! 😵

I have zero experience with insemination but assuming these are ovulation tests I think you may be inseminating too early?
I was under the impression ovulation tests will have a peak 1-3 days before ovulation meaning its usually best to wait until you see a peak before doing anything. Have you looked into the sperm meets egg plan? It has good success rates and recommends having sex on the day of an opk peak, the following 2 days, then having a break day and doing it again on the 5th day after, obviously changing this for insemination for you.
If you're not doing it already then I'd also recommend tracking bbt, that way you can see how long after a peak you likely ovulate. From these tests I'd say ovulation likely happened on the 13th or 14th, or maybe even 15th, making you 7-9dpo. Everyone is different but I usually get a temp rise 3 days after an opk peak, meaning I likely ovulate 2 days after getting it.

*I should edit my last message to say positive opk rather than peak for the sperm meets egg plan. Perhaps wait until you see a positive to insrminate and then the following 2 days as well.

@Shxo what is said above is not sperm meets egg plan and the most important days are the 5 days leading up to ovulation and ovulation! Your timings look great.

Sperm meets egg plan is starting dtd on the 8th day of your cycle and doing it every other day until you get your peak then doing it peak day, day after (ovulation), day after that then skip a day and then one last try for “luck”.

we always start every other day from day 8 then usually stop day after the peak. So last day being ovulation day as we have both had enough by then. I am on week 5 on my 3rd pregnancy in 3 months (CP in October and November) so that works for us. The lead up is important as sperm lives up to 5 days inside and ovulation happens 12-36 hours after your first positive. After you ovulate you’ve only got 12-24 hours so ovulation day and the days before that are most important.

From looking at those tests it looks like the 12th was positive so I would say 9dpo but it’s not an exact science. You have however covered all bases there. Personally I always wait until after AF due (which is always 13dpo) for ne as I like to see a very definite line but 12dpo should still show a decent line if pregnant so Xmas day may be fine. I would personally wait longer but I know lots of people like to find out asap.
