ovulate on day 21 period on day 29

can anyone help - i ovulate on day 21 and have my period on day 29, i've never heard of it being a week before ??? we are trying for our 2nd child.

isn't it usually 14 days before your period starts?

I believe the period between ovulation and the start of your period is called the leutal phase. For successful conception the leutal phase has to be 10 days plus, something to do with the body having enough time for the egg to be able to implant.

I think my info is a bit shaky, so I would suggest you google leutal phase. Oh, and there are things that you can do to extend it.

thanks i did use the ovulation bkit from day 10 to try and work it out, but i definitely ovulate on day 21, its mad
