Hi, just wondering if anyone has experienced this Aged 33 almost 34.... no period apart from some spotting back at the end of Sept, and still no period. I'm having cramps on the usual time and keep waiting for AF to arrive. I track because we have been trying for years. But this just isn't normal. I usually am every 28 days....

Well have you done a test? If not why not. If you have and it's negative you should obviously go to your doctor

Bless you, sends you crazy when you don't know what's going on! I'd maybe just test to see if it is a BFP or BFN but if it is BFN maybe go to the doctors just to get a confirmation that everything is okay. 🙂

Sorry yes I had meant to put that in the post. I've tested negative like 10 tests! Doctor wanted me to have bloods done, awaiting results for progesterone levels but the thyroids have came back ok

@Ka15

I have heard of people that test negative on pregnancy tests but have been pregnant and have found out via blood tests etc or some people that dont test positive until far along into the pregnancy...

Other than that I'm not much use I'm afraid but hopefully you figure out what it is going on with your cycles. ⭐️

I assume you haven't just come off hormonal contraceptives or anything similar?

Ka15 · 10/12/2022 18:14

No. I had the pill at the start of the year to try and help my low moods.

Oh really? I'm just a little confused,none of it makes sense. I told the Dr I'm not taking any more pregnancy tests because its a waste and so disheartening. Hopefully they have answers. Thank you for your reply

Have you had a covid vaccine recently? I've heard that a lot of people experience delayed periods after a covid vaccine. Lots of threads on here about it.

I don’t want to be a party pooper but it could also be early menopause, or simply periods stopped for some other reason such as stress, over exercising, or being underweight. (Many female Olympains don’t have periods when they’re doing intense training, and I know women who join the army often find their periods stop during the intensive physical training year at the beginning.

Good luck I’ll keep my fingers crossed it’s good news.

I had actually thought that, I have been feeling for the last year that maybe I am because my moods are up and down and I have quite a few symptoms. Maybe it is finally here. But I didn't think you could still get pains/ cramp/ bearing down /heavy feeling x

Yes! I had this, 4 months with nothing other than period pains, dull backache and negative tests, doctors done tests but was all ok. From 12 years old I've always been very regular so i couldnt really understand it. Period randomly returned, very light for 3 days the first month. Then gradually back in full swing. Never had it happen before or since actually 🤷🏻‍♀️

Ka15 · 11/12/2022 21:51

Oh wow that's very strange too 😕 I'm glad that it's not just me. I've been the same, very much clockwork since 12 too. I wonder if its our bodies preparing for meno x
