Irish private clinic recommendation?

Hey all,

Looking for a private clinic recommendation in Ireland for recurrent miscarriages? Looking for someone who can do prescriptions on consultation?

Hi @Daniki, I’m also based in Ireland and just came across your post. You’ve probably got sorted already but I would recommend Dr Lyuda Shkrobot (UNQ Life in Dublin).
i had three miscarriages in 2020 and then went through immune testing with Mr Shehata In the UK. He prescribed medication for high NK cells but due to Brexit and Covid travel back and forth to the UK for treatment was going to be an issue. I then approached Dr Lyuda, as my acupuncturist had recommended her for immune issues. She was happy to treat me according to Mr Shehata’s plan. My little girl arrived in January 2022.

Thanks @NessyT91 . I ended up booking a private app with dr Karen flood in the rotunda who runs the miscarriage clinic. I didn’t fit the criteria for the public clinic as I’d had 2 miscarriages so paid €200 to see her. Found her very good she done a lot of bloods which Il get the results of next week and prescribed me progesterone prednisone and aspirin to start as soon as I get a positive test result!
what did dr Lynda do for you was it medications or specific diet or anything? Lady I see for acupuncture has had me on mesima capsules aswell for 3 months to lower my nk cells x

@Daniki do you mind me asking the cost of progesterone privately?

Hi @MK85 are you based in Ireland? If so all prescriptions are covered under the drugs payment scheme so you pay no more than €80 per month

@Daniki no I'm in the north. My consultant told me my progesterone was low when I had blood tests prior to starting our fertility treatment but here they are really reluctant to prescribe it until you've had at least 3 mcs. I just recall in the past a woman on here mentioning she travelled down and got progesterone. I had a loss in december. It's been such a challenge to get pregnant in the first place and I hate the thought of if we do get pregnant again it might be a repeat because Its low

I also recommend Dr Lyuda.
Years ago I went to her at the SIMS clinic (she has since moved). She was so helpful, knowledgeable and kind. When I did treatment in Greece, she rewrote all my scripts. She recommended immune treatments, and finally I had twins.

Dr Lyuda also put me on progesterone, prednisone and aspirin, in addition to medication for NK cells for 6 months before IVF. Also intralipids when pregnant. I also took a mushroom herbal supplement my acupuncturist recommended. I was also on Clexane (blood thinner) since I had had a DVT.

Came here to recommend Lyuda. She’s amazing! I’m here holding my 11 month old after 4 years, 7 miscarriages and failed IVF (that wasn’t with Lyuda).

@MK85 that’s awful especially when they know you have low progesterone. There is a site called tommys that has a page you can print off and give to your gp with all the recommended dosages etc. my gp wasn’t comfortable either as he didn’t know enough about it. Can you get a script in the south and and use it in the north? If not might be worthwhile paying for a one off consult with someone who would prescribe it?
