Black coloured spotting since ovulation

TTC our second child. Been actively trying for around 6 months. We needed fertility treatment for DS and have commenced treatment for baby number 2 as it is very unlikely to happen naturally. On previous cycles, I have sometimes had slight spotting around ovulation, very small amount. This never lasts more than a few hours.

This month, ovulation confirmed with test as I am having fertility treatment. I am now 4dpo and have continued to lose black coloured blood and some black coloured clots. Not enough to warrant it to be classed as my period but enough that I am needing to use a pantyliner. It is showing no sign of stopping - I am also getting really terrible stomach cramps on and off.

If this continues, I will call the fertility clinic on Monday for advice but it would be useful to hear if anyone has experienced anything similar?

Never happened to me. If it were me, I would go to urgent care first thing in the morning. I would be worried about the black clots.

Good luck.

@Happyhappy39soon40 Thankyou for replying. I didn’t consider seeing anyone over the weekend about it, unless the pain became worse, although you’ve made me reconsider now.

@OnTheDrive I’ve never heard of black clots after ovulation before. I would ring urgent care for advice or go in just to be checked
