Question for anyone who has ever done a clearblue (non digital test) be it + or -

Tested this morning and Im not sure of the results.

The line going agross that was 'negative' was bright blue and made up of 2 rows of blue spots like this ...

:::::::::::::::::::::::::

But going down there was a line but didnt have colour to it was just a greyish line.

So if you have done a test and it was negative - did yours have this line?

Im thinking it may just be a line thats there for the blue dye to go on if you are pregnant.

Or for the test to have a negative result does the rest of the screen have to be completely balnk. Does this line mean anything?

TIA, O&OA

Is the test in date? Did you read the result within 10 minutes? I've had both +ve and -ve clearblue tests. The negative spots are normal but there isn't a line like this for the positive part of the cross. If you have allowed the test to fully develop and have read it within 10 minutes, it sounds more like a feint positive. Try testing again tomorrow morning using another clearblue. Good luck!

yes within 10 minutes and the test is in date.

Ive actully sone a few over the last few days and not been sure of the results.

I did this one and thought Oh! FFS! when i looked at 2 mins because i just wanted it to be negative, with a pure white background so i can get on with my life

But with each test theres a line but it not colured and i just think ALL tests must have this faint line, its where thepositive goes if you ARE pregnant, where the dye soaks ina nd Im just looking t it too closesly

I have seen that grey line on a negative test, but it took a while to come out, it wasn't immediate. I'd wait and then test again to be sure.

Get a digital - so much easier, no more squinting at lines...

FWIW, the cycle I got pg withthe twins, I did about 3 clarblue normal tests and one was completely neg, one had an evap line AFTER the 10 mins was up and one didn't work at all - no control line or anything. I gave up then caved in and bought a digi which immediately said pg. Wish I'd just done taht in first place...

I believe your hormone levels double every two days during pg and the first urine of the day is the most concentrated with HCG. So, maybe wait a couple of days and test again in the morning. If you're still not sure, maybe go to your GP and get them to test.
