period late but negative test

I'm currently 5 days late and did a test on my 4th day but it came out as negative. i am also experiencing cramps, tender breasts and more discharge than usual but no blood at all which is weird! Usually my breasts come tender a week before my period but this time it only just started 2 days before my period was supposed to start. I do plan on taking another test tomorrow but i have a feeling its gonna be negative. what should i do?

Did you track your ovulation?
it could be you ovulated later than normal so your AF is due later?
Also, which type of test did you use?

i dont know how to track my ovulation so i dont think so, and i used a cheap test that was around 3£

So it could be that you may have ovulated later than usual which can knock your period late.
some people use ovulation test strips and track their temperature etc…
if I were you I’d give it a few more days and retest
