I'm sorry, OP, but they're all negative.

overthinkersanonnymus · 03/12/2022 16:57

Hi op. Welcome to the stressful world of the two week wait!!

Unfortunately, the first response tests are notoriously bad for indent lines which is what this looks like I'm afraid (I've been there too and it's so shit)

If it was a genuine bfp, you'd have at least a few more tests with the same faint line

Rtmhwales · 03/12/2022 16:57

I swear there is a bad batch of FRER going around this last month.

I took four a few days apart each and got the same result as your 12DPO one. Except I'm doing IVF and they were testing my blood HCG which was zero so I knew they were faulty rather than a chemical.

I'd assume negative at this point unfortunately OP.

Alexis000 · 03/12/2022 18:21

Is it worth testing again my expected period is in 2 days but no symptoms...usually i get awful cramping. Ik i sound crazy one month in but its so confusing and stressful any thoughts

OP posts:
Hangupsrus · 03/12/2022 18:25

Op I actually see a very very faint line on the last test and that's what I had with dc3 when I tested early. I think do another tomorrow and you might see a darker line, good luck.

ChloeN · 03/12/2022 18:32

@Alexis000 Id try and hold out a day or 2 and test again, you could try a clearblue digital ultra early by then and you should get a definite answer☺️

Alexis000 · 03/12/2022 18:54

Thanks everybody ive got my fingers crossed!

I’d be expecting much stronger lines on a FRER at 12 and 13 dpo. If you’re sure you ovulated when you think you did then I don’t think this is your month. Sorry OP

Alexis000 · 04/12/2022 20:28

Ok 14 dpo no period, no symptoms, cm is watery/sticky... thoughts?

OP posts:
TheShellBeach · 04/12/2022 20:58

Your period is about to start.

Alexis000 · 07/12/2022 03:25

Now 16 dpo (based on apps ovulation algorithm-1 year of data...havent used ovulation strips)/period 2-4 days late according to flo app and premom... tested yesterday hcg and it was negative. Whats going on?!

somuchtolearnabout · 07/12/2022 06:54

Your period is just late this month! It's as simple as that. I've TTC 3 times and it's happened to me almost every time, my normal cycle is 28-30 days but I've been known to have 49 day cycles for absolutely no reason. If you were pregnant you'd know by now, with respect stop torturing yourself and waiting for a positive test - accept that AF is coming soon and it'll be a lot less stressful for you

You're getting terribly upset and anxious already, and it's only your first month of trying.
Nothing is going on. You haven't conceived this month. You will start your period very soon, then you can try again.
Good luck for next month.

TheShellBeach · 07/12/2022 18:54

You took three tests on 12 DPO (and maybe more which you haven't shown us).

FRERs are very expensive. Are you going to test this obsessively every month, and have a load of incredibly early scans? It isn't healthy to be so worked up about conception. If you're pregnant, just wait until you're 14 DPO and test ONCE (if your temperature has not dropped).

I actually always knew when I was pregnant by my temperature chart. If it stayed up, I was pregnant. If it fell (round about when my period was due) I knew I was not pregnant.

mylion · 07/12/2022 20:04

@Alexis000 it looks like your line at 12DPO was an indent/evap as you'd have had more + by now if you had conceived, along with a late period it's disheartening, but hopefully you'll have luck next cycle. I was a bit obsessive with testing/analysing everything when TTC so I totally understand, if you choose to spend your money on FRERs & wish to test a lot that's totally up to you, that's what I did. You get easy@home tests on Amazon which are WAY cheaper & I found to be more accurate at early detection than FRERs. But do try to relax & enjoy the TTC journey, best of luck!

NalaNana · 07/12/2022 20:13

OP I can see v faint lines on the top three tests - these are what my early tests looked like around 8 & 9 DPO however the other tests are negative.

It could be a bad batch of FRERs (although I've never experienced false positives with them) or it could be a chemical pregnancy, which would explain why your period is now late, as often it can delay a 'period' by a few days/week.

Good luck for the future ✨

Alexis000 · 13/12/2022 13:53

update: period now 10 days late... havent tested since i last posted. Relaxed a lot and got excited to try again. Feel really confused by my body rn so would love some advice / next steps? Should I consult my doctor? Test again?

Wait until your next period and start again, OP.
Your GP can do nothing at the moment.

Harper02 · 13/12/2022 18:17

How did you track and confirm ovulation OP?

elm26 · 13/12/2022 18:28

I can see a line on the first picture especially if I tilt my phone a bit.

I vote test! Fingers crossed and good luck! X

Olivia199 · 13/12/2022 18:53

Sorry you're going through this whirlwind OP. It's a different situation but when I started IVF I needed the first day of my period to start so I could start stims. I've been a clockwork 28 day cycle for my entire life bar one or two very rare 29/30 days when I've been poorly or super stressed.

I was 11 days late.

When you're stressed and focusing so much on these things they often decide to just hide for a while which just adds to the stress and a vicious cycle remains. Try, if you can, to just get on with your time now and ignore it. Wear some white jeans. Plan to have a romantic evening where a period would ruin it for sure... those tend to help! But all jest aside, it sounds like this whole new journey of TTC is already taking it's toll. Hot bath and some time for you if you can. Wishing you all the very best next month. X

TheShellBeach · 13/12/2022 19:26

I conceived in my second month of trying, so maybe you'll be lucky next time.

anon1411 · 13/12/2022 19:42

I think if you feel it would put your mind at ease then maybe test one last time seeing as though you've waited a while now but if it comes back negative, take a break from testing. Enjoy Christmas and think about it again after 🥰

I know its extremely hard, I don't know what's going on with my body at the moment really, Symptoms galore but neither a period or a BFP in a long time. Some days I'm so sure I am pregnant🤔
My fingers are crossed for you 🤞
