Could I be pregnant?

Hi all, I'm new on here I just wanted to see what you guys thought. I have an extremely regular 30 day cycle and had sex over ovulation. About a week later I had sharp, stabbing pain low down on my left side about where my ovaries would be, along with dull period like cramps. Jumo to today about 4 days later I am spotting light pink blood now when i wipe nothing too heavy and the cramps are still there but the sharp stabbing has gone. M not sure if the bleeding is going to get worse but i feel i should mention this is usually how my period starts and its pretty much bang on time. I've been feeling weird tho I've had loads of energy and barely sleeping, feeling a bit dizzy like I'm floating through my day and very anxious with no real triggers. I usually get barely any pms symptoms and my boobs feel a bit sore but not really. Ive also noticed im tasting blood/metal. Do you think this could be early pregnancy symptoms or if not what would explain the sharp cramping? Any knowledge or advice would be much appreciated.

Why don't you take a test?

gracefullybroken · 01/12/2022 12:36

It's too early? I've read I need to wait two weeks? Freaking out a bit so just seeing if anyone knows what it could be in the meantime? Waiting is horrible haha.

If it's been 11 days since ovulation I think a sensitive test would catch it

Thanks. I might see if there's an early detection one available. The bleeding is a bit heavier now. I did have quite bad pains (heavy implantation?) I'm wondering if the bleeding may be bad as a result of that? But if it is my period I'm also worried what it could be as there was significant pain, and all the wierd symptoms?? Is there such a thing as a successful implantation then, after a few days your body rejects it? Would explain my rush of symptoms but then period coming. Would it indicate a problem with my uterus? Should I see a doctor? I don't know 😫

No point worrying when you could just take a test..! :)

Wait a few more days, do preg test then see a female doctor either way. It could be implantation bleeding, or an early miscarriage, or mid-cycle bleeding caused by PCOS, or a hormone imbalance. Whatever it is push for investigation abd don’t be fobbed off with some male GP telling you women’s troubles

Blossomandbee · 01/12/2022 13:23

Only a test can tell you. If your bleeding is getting heavier then it's unlikely to be an implantation bleed.
You can get chemical pregnancies where the egg fertilises but doesn't implant properly. Most people wouldn't know this had happened without taking a test so although it can be upsetting, it's nothing medically to worry about.

Ps I had implantation pain on day 16 but it felt like a sudden sharp period cramp then ache for 5 min then back to normal (and I didn’t bleed). So what you are describing sounds different

MeMyBooksAndMyCats · 01/12/2022 13:33

No point worrying when a test can tell you. Nobody online can tell if you are or not. Good luck.

Thank you everyone. No need for test it is definitely period started properly bleeding now. I will go see a doctor though as the pain and early cramping was weird and not usual for me. Thanks for all the advice.
