I’m on cycle 12 of tcc#1 so if no luck this month will be moving ahead with tests. I already had an internal scan which all looked fine so guess next step would be SA and blood tests although gyn here (not uk) mentioned hycosy too. I have two friends who conceived their first naturally after 18 months + of trying so feel some reassurance knowing that.

BiscuitLover3678 · 09/12/2022 16:02

Cycle 15 and month 12. So so desperate for a September baby 😢 I was hoping a year ago when we first started!

day 21 and semen analysis came back normal

what’s the ultrasound like? Will have to go private to get that.

Hello everyone, can I jump on during this agonising tww!?

I MC at 8 weeks 7 weeks ago, AF arrived after 5.5 weeks and I got a positive CB OPK on cycle day 9, that caught me off guard as it was earlier than usual for me, we dtd on CD 6 & 10, I’m really hoping we caught that egg, we only dtd once on the cycle I caught with MC.

Also on that cycle I thought I had a light period that lasted 6 days, it was obviously IB and was dark brown and really stringy, I know that pregnancy ended, but it’s still useful to know I suppose.

I also had light pink EWCM which I assume was ovulation bleeding, I’ve never ever had that so that was a surprise.

Im only 1dpo so this is going to be a long tww, hopefully Xmas preps will distract me enough, also hoping that high fertility after MC proves true for me.

Good luck for everyone for Christmas BFP

@Babydust99 we “didn’t try but didn’t prevent” for a couple of years after we got married without anything happening so assumed it wouldn’t happen. I got diagnosed with UC in that time and became very unwell with a couple of flares so we actually think that was why!

We've been properly TTC for over a year now. Had a CP in May, and just wrapping up an early miscarriage now (6 weeks) so we figured everything’s working for conception, just got to figure how to make it stick now 😂 we’re giving it another cycle and then looking at tests in the new year but will go private to save time as I’m 38 now. I have a recommendation for someone a friend of mine saw (and she’s seen a few!) so will go for her if nothing happens this time round. X

Stilltobeseen · 09/12/2022 19:32

Well AF arrived. Myself, DH and DD had a lovely christmassy evening tonight and I'm just going to focus on fully enjoying the rest of the festive season. Onto the next cycle.

LucyLoopyLu · 09/12/2022 20:46

@Foreverhopeful92 thank you ❤️

@BiscuitLover3678 tbh the ultrasound was fine, it wasn't even awkward and not at all uncomfortable. It's a very thin wand and they don't need to get up close and personal or use a speculum like a smear. It was a bit weird to see everything but quite interesting and it doesn't take long. She was focused on the screen, taking pictures and measurements but she talked me through everything she was seeing. Much easier than the blood test I had before that 😂

BCxx · 09/12/2022 20:49

@LucyLoopyLu I had a low placenta in my last pregnancy and they couldn’t see it to get a good measurement with the normal ultrasound at the 20 week scan so I had to have the probe then. I was glad I’d done so much research in early pregnancy and thought I’d probably need it then but didn’t, as you say it was absolutely nothing though. I got it again at my next scan too.. so be warned the probe does not end after early pregnancy.. they can spring it on you at any time 🤣

LucyLoopyLu · 09/12/2022 21:29

@BCxx to be honest I feel like I am so desperate now I will put up with anything let alone a little probe 😂 I'm not a fan of needles but will even put up with them if I get to have a baby at the end of it

Laul89 · 09/12/2022 22:43

Congratulations @BCxx 🥰 lovely news… let there be many BFPs to follow for the rest of us ✨🤞🏼

Saturnsmoon · 10/12/2022 00:29

@BiscuitLover3678 I would agree with Lucyloopylu about the ultrasound - was totally fine. She looked at the shape and condition of the womb (which all looked fine) as well as the ovaries, in which she could even see that I had a good number of eggs in reserve (I’m 34 so was a little worried about that). However they can’t see/tell you anything about your tubes from the ultrasound so would need to have a hycosy for that, whereby they flush dye trough your tubes to see if there are any blockages. Apparently that is a bit more invasive so I’m going to make my OH have a semen analysis before I go down that route.

okflower4923 · 10/12/2022 02:41

okay but why did it take me SO long to find y'all?! back for month 4. i'm still waiting for o but it should happen by wednesday if the 14 day thing holds up

Bananatoast123 · 10/12/2022 15:31

@BCxx congrats cycle buddie!!

I’m 12dpo and not tested yet as been away. AF due tomorrow so will see if that comes and if not I’ll test! I don’t have anything pointing me either way at the moment!

BCxx · 10/12/2022 15:34

@Bananatoast123 we’re away for the weekend and I’ve just started bleeding 😭 test this morning should have been darker than yesterday’s and I just knew as soon as I saw it, it was darker each day with my little boy. They do say don’t test too early.. for this reason 🤦🏼‍♀️

Turtletortle · 10/12/2022 15:47

Can I join? AF isn’t due til the 20th & it’s already driving me mad waiting to test! I don’t want to speak to anyone IRL about it because I don’t want to have to have the ‘not this month’ conversation if it doesn’t happen.

So I’m coming here to vent my frustration at the days going by crazy slow. Christmas is my favourite time of year so I’m trying to distract myself with festive activities, wrapping presents etc but I swear 3 days go by when it’s only been 1 on the calendar!

Good luck everyone hoping for a Christmas BFP!

Bananatoast123 · 10/12/2022 16:21

@BCxx Oh no 😞 I’m so sorry!! I had this exact thing last month and my first test looked like yours and by the next day it was gone! Since that I’ve vowed to only test when I’m late 🫣 I hope you’re treating yourself to something to make yourself feel better. It’s heartbreaking isn’t it!

MrsMotts · 10/12/2022 16:28

@BCxx So sorry lovely. Same thing happened to me last month - I’ve also vowed to not test so early next time but I know I will still!
take care of yourself ❤️

Sb86 · 10/12/2022 18:57

@BCxx so sorry to read this

BCxx · 10/12/2022 19:25

@MrsMotts @Sb86 @Bananatoast123 it’s crazy how common it is, when I looked it up it said it could actually be 50% of pregnancies but most people just don’t know. I had a feeling when I saw today’s test and it wasn’t darker. The bleeding has stopped for now but was definitely bleeding rather than ‘spotting’. I’d almost rather AF just arrived at full force if that’s what’s going to happen but now clinging onto the tiniest bit of hope it’s some sort of heavy implantation bleeding 🙄

Sb86 · 10/12/2022 19:30

@BCxx just maybe just do a test tomorrow again to see because I started bleeding after a test it was a week and a few days after but it was a subchorionic hematoma. It might be what you think but it also might not, our bodies love to play tricks on us 😔

Knov20 · 10/12/2022 19:31

Oh no @BCxx I'm hoping that there is a positive here! I've got everything crossed for you!

I'm currently 6dpo but I've been In agony since ovulating on Monday! Not sure what to make of that!?

Mumbrava · 10/12/2022 19:32

I’m so sorry to hear this @BCxx I hope you take care yourself. Please try and stay positive. It will happen.

I think I’m out for this cycle. Did an early clear blue digital test today (6 days before period) and it was ‘not pregnant’. It’s heartbreaking and every month I’m trying to do something different to ‘improve’ my chances…or maybe to make myself feel better….but at least it keeps me sane and helps with my morale.

😔

BCxx · 10/12/2022 19:35

@Mumbrava sorry you’re not feeling hopeful this cycle, it’s so bloody hard! It is possible the digital just isn’t sensitive enough because I got a ‘not pregnant’ at the same time as getting a faint line on a frer 🤞🏼 (Now look where that’s got me 🤣)

BCxx · 10/12/2022 19:37

@Sb86 so was that relatively harmless? I’m really hoping it was implantation, il know by the morning whether it is or not I’d think so I’ll get another test tomorrow if there’s no blood 🤞🏼

BCxx · 10/12/2022 19:38

@Knov20 clinging onto the last bit of hope that it could be implantation but I didn’t get that with my little boy and it was more than I would of expected, it has completely stopped now though. Will know by the morning either way!

Its so hard to tell in terms of cramps etc isn’t it. I remember being in agony from about 5dpo with my son, was lying in bed and it hurt to sit up even, it stopped hurting after my BFP

Sb86 · 10/12/2022 19:42

Not for me it wasn't, they said it wasn't a issue but I miscarried at 8 weeks. Plenty of women go on to full-term and have healthy babies, just not me this time sadly. I didn't even know they were a thing but turns out they are quite common. Got my fingers crossed for you that it's implantation though
