Thought I’d start a new Dec thread for us!! New thread… new cycle… new hope!!

@Laul89 We're pretty early on too. This is only cycle 2 of TTC baby 2.
With DD, I had a chemical in cycle 1 and fell pregnant again in cycle 2. With her, didn't get our BFP until AF was 2 days late so I think I'll wait until at least the 22nd Dec to test if AF hasn't arrived. Feels like sooooo long to wait! And I think I'm putting pressure on myself because of how quickly it all happened for us the first time around.
We DTD every other day since AF stopped and then on the 2 days before ovulation. Didn't manage it on Ovulation day because DD was teething and would not sleep unless she was on me so that made DTD off the cards 😂Hoping to now carry on with our every other day pattern just in case ovulation is later.

AF has pretty much finished here (CD5), taking my vitamins and trying to think positively (trying but not necessarily succeeding)

@LuckyStar511 its reassuring to know you got pregnant straight after your chemical, I hope that happens for us! 🤞🏼 I feel like I won’t want to tell my parents incase I end up bleeding again.. even if AF is late.. but I would love to tell them Christmas Day 🥺

Aw, how old is your daughter now? We didn’t DTD yday either on ovulation day - too tired! But will try tonight. I think this month will hopefully go faster in terms of TWW due to everything going on! 🤞🏼
Does your AF always come on the day the app predicts?

@Laul89 fingers crossed for you! I’m not sure if it’s true, but I’ve heard that after a chemical, your hormones are stronger (??) and so you’re more likely to have a successful implantation. Not sure where I heard it though.
She’s 15 months. We found out just after Xmas 2020 and literally told our parents straight away! It was nice to bring some joy during those crappy covid times. We had to stand on the doorstep at each house and tell them though and couldn’t hug or anything which was rubbish! If/when we do manage to conceive this time, I think we’ll tell our parents straight away again. It’s lovely to have someone to celebrate with. Then if, god forbids, anything does go wrong, they’ll be our support system.
AF was 2 days early last month. My periods are still settling into routine though as DD weans from breastfeeding. I’m worried that this will affect us TTC but she only has about 3 feeds a day now and I’m pretty certain I’m ovulating with each cycle so hopefully it’ll be all good 🤞🏻

I know these cheapie tests can be a bit unreliable... AF due tomorrow or Friday so I'm going to try not to test again until Saturday I think.

@SillyOldBear3 I see it but have had bad experiences with ic's myself. I had a bfn on an ic today and af is due tomorrow so expect she will show up by about lunchtime tomorrow

Period due today. Nothing so far but I am terrified to test. I have a night out on Saturday so I really want to know but I'm so scared of seeing a BFN.

@Stilltobeseen eek! Hope it’s BFP. I am at my ovulation day ish, I haven’t tracked this month for various reasons, work and Christmas has made things so busy! But cm is just as reliable, had a big blob of egg white. Dh is still poorly so hoping that his sperms haven’t caught it either 😂😂😉😉

Yeah I’d love to tell them immediately but I guess we will see what happens on the 23rd when I test… 😬 that’s if I get that far without AF arriving!!!

@Stilltobeseen I know how you feel.. after my chemical the nurse told me to wait till around 1 week after AF was due to test.. I mean is that not torture! I’m due on 21st but going out on 23rd so will have to test then!

I feel so stupid. I really started thinking the spotting I had around 10dpo was implantation (I get spotting so not a guarantee) had boob pain IDENTICAL to when I had my DD and never really get boob pain. BFN going to try with FMU tomorrow but I'm not holding out hope. I bet I get AF tomorrow or Saturday in time for my Xmas night out. I'm so over this journey already. It makes me feel like absolute shit every month. Only cycle 1 for baby number two but I feel plopped right back into our many month ttc journey when trying for DD and its really triggering

@Laul89 i think I’ve turned to humour in the face of ttc! The constant bd is making things let’s just say less than spicey! Hoping it’s this month!

@Stilltobeseen 😢 I’m testing tomorrow too but BFN this morning. I feel like I’m clinging onto every ounce of hope for this to be the cycle because I’m not sure how I’ll cope if not, we’d be onto month 5. All I keep hearing is people announcing pregnancies and friends saying how quickly they fell pregnant. To rub salt in the wound someone on my Facebook has just given birth and posted about how she’d been on the pill when she conceived! How do these people manage it?! 🙈😂

Af has arrived for me so onto cycle 7. How long has everyone been ttc?

I was so sure I wasn’t making it up this month, just knew I had to be! 🙈🎉 It’s extremely faint (10dpo) so not celebrating just yet and my digital said not pregnant but I think it’s just too early. As I was waiting on it I was thinking how my insides feel like a very mild version of pressing a bruise and I totally remember that feeling from last time! If all goes okay I’d be due a week after my little boy’s second birthday 😂

Hi All

I’m expecting AF tomorrow so marking my place here. Will be a Jan BFP rather than by Christmas if it happens next month but a September baby.

TTC #1 and just hoping that it’s my time soon.

@LucyLoopyLu and @Babydust99 - I’m going into cycle 8 so about the same time as you both! All my friends have conceived within a few months so I’m really starting to feel like something is wrong. Think we’re going to start the testing process at the GP in Spring next year if we have no luck over the next few months.

@Foreverhopeful92 it's hard isn't it, it feels like everyone gets pregnant straight away (or by accident!!!??? How? 😂) because I have so many friends who have told me that. And it does make you miserable when you start comparing. But I keep reminding myself that I know one family member who tried for a while for their first (but not for their second, not sure exactly how long) and at least one couple who have had an ectopic and no BFP since, now moving to IVF. So I'm sure there are more that don't share what's happening.
It's not just us that are struggling.

We had some testing privately after 6 months (as I am 34 and want two children) and everything came back OK, thankfully. Hope you won't need to get that far

@Babydust99 yes TTC number 1 and it has been stressful. I am trying to stay relaxed but it's not easy. I keep telling myself it will be my time soon

**@LucyLoopyLu yes I'm feeling the same and so is my dh. We're going to pay for tests if nothing happens in the next few months

@LucyLoopyLu yes completely! I think we might get private tests too if it comes to it.
