Any point temping when up in the night?

We're going to start trying your DC2 in the next few weeks. Last time around things took a while (9 months to conceive DS1), and I was temping to chart ovulation, etc. I seem to remember though that the advice was that it wouldn't be an accurate reading if you'd been up in the night, you had to have been still and resting for 4 hrs before taking the reading.

Is there any point in temping when you have a child already, and are up in the night fairly consistently?!

Thanks.

There's no point. I stopped temping for this reason. It's not accurate unless you have a long, uninterrupted sleep!

Last night I got to sleep by 2am, DS had me up at 4am for a wee and DS was up at 6.30am for the day.

No temp was takenGrin

It is very annoying as I think I ovulate today or tomorrow, so I really wanted to get this temp.

I find LH strips quite accurate.

Thought so, thank you for the advice!
