Castor oil packs TTC

Hi has anyone tried castor oil packs or have any experiences with it ? TTC for going on 13 months now MC January last year and I'm really starting to worry , have started investigations with my GP awaiting results of AMH and further hormone blood tests but willing to try anything that might help .

I can't speak for castor oil packs helping me get pregnant as it hasn't but it definitely helps ( in my experience) if your suffering from late ovulation / no ovulation and it helps getting good circulation going to your uterus

Thanks so much for replying - been doing them for the past 3 nights and getting ovulation pains so I think you're right (although still neg OPK) My cycles are all over the place so this could be a game changer :) Good luck on your journey xxx

@smashedbanana my cycles were non existent and when I was having periods , I was ovulating CD 40+ until I started castor oil massages. I'd noticed on a few occasions after it that I would ovulate within a few days. This month I ovulated on CD14 which is the earliest I've ever ovulated. I also noticed a huge decrease in stomach pain I was having all the time too and better flow during my period which I'm crediting to the hopefully improved circulation. I personally really recommend them as they've helped me. I ve also been drinking red raspberry leaf tea for the past 2 months after period ends until ovulation aswell as it can help strengthen your uterine lining .
All I can say is ive noticed great physical improvements and regularity since.
I did get pregnant in Dec , after years and years struggling which coincidentally was the first month I started doing the massages so who knows. It ended in a very early loss and I just havent been able to get pregnant since.
We both have fertility issues tho which is likely making it harder plus we're getting on a bit (later 30s)
I'm currently 9dpo and it's ivf for us next month if we're unsuccessful this month aswell.

@MoonlightDreamer thanks for this, the castor oil is so thick I can't imagine using it to massage but will add this into the routine before adding the pack. Thanks for the recommendation. I'm also late 30s, got pregnant with my DD first month we tried (4.5 years ago) but been trying 2.5 years now with only one bfp In that time which sadly ended in miscarriage. I enjoy the process of the castor oil packs but doesn't seem to be much on Mumsnet about them specifically so nice to have some first-hand experiences. Thanks for the information and good luck with your journey. I'm also looking at ivf from December (once we've saved up enough), would love to hear your experience if you feel like sharing xx
