Ovulation - help me!

Still finding ovulation so confusing despite being (I promise!) a capable and responsible grown up...

So, today is CD16 and here's a run down of our last few days.

CD 13 digital opk blank circle - didn't DTD
CD 14 digital opk static smiley - DTD
CD 15 super strong positive strip OPK - DTD
CD 16 super strong positive strip OPK - DTD

Ovulation is usually within 36 hours of the first positive, or so I read, so As it's been three days positive, am I likely to have ovulated by now?

Or does the fact it's still (super strong) positive after three days mean it probably hasn't happened yet so should we stick with it until a negative OPK?

Any advice welcome!

@monsteramunch I’ve only used opks a few times and my static smiley is always at least a day or 2 earlier than the strips, we usually just do it until the strips go down and maybe an extra day after just in case! I never know which to trust

I always use strips as I trust them more. And I have also heard the first positive/peak is the right one and to go by the first one, you don't need to see the strips after that, so it staying dark or fading doesn't make a difference. But then others say if doesn't fade it doesn't mean you've ovulated yet, your body is trying to but hasn't. So tbh I'm confused too! So just keep having sex until it fades, to be sure.

Thanks @ChloeN and @Rosie22xx really appreciate it. I assumed the digital would be more accurate than strips but sounds like maybe I'm wrong! It's so bloody confusing isn't it Confused

@monsteramunch such a headache honestly! But the fact you are getting peaks is a really good sign, so regular sex anyways should cover it. Good luck!
