Hi all! So I'm in the TTW at the moment but not very hopeful at all, so I'm forward thinking for next cycle.

I've never charted my temp before so no idea what to use or how it even works, so before I do my research, please can you advise which apps you use and what thermometer I should get?

Thank you xx

I like the fertility friend app, the free version is fine. And there’s not much difference between bbt thermometers, I got a cheap one from Amazon. Not sure it’s available anymore but you don’t need anything fancy as long as it does 4 numbers eg 37.56 type of thing.

Is that any help? Best of luck. I loved temping, really took the mystery out of things.

I highly recommend the book Taking charge of your fertility. It’s so easy to read and a tome but the ttc bit I devoured in an evening and have referred back to it many times.

Thank you @AnneLovesGilbert

I've just been doing some research and the chart reading looks all very techy techy!

I'll give it a bash next month!

The FF app honestly does it all for you and the book will give you general insight. It definitely looks a bit daunting to begin with and takes a few days to get into the habit of doing it as soon as you wake up, I kept my thermometer under my pillow to make it easier. You’ll get in the swing of it quickly. Keep dtd till you get confirmation of ovulation which takes 3 days after the fact.

I’m no expect but used it for two pregnancies and happy to help if I can.
