Is this positive?! Or even possible?!

Hi,

I'm currently on what I thought was cd4 of a new cycle.

The week running up to my period I could have sworn I was pregnant, had creamy pink discharge upon wiping once a day on 9dpo and 10dpo. Bfn tests. Nothing for 2 days and then af showed- even did a test that morning and bfn. Af has been crampy and heavy, particularly the first day. Yesterday was light and today light. However my boobs started with a stabbing pain today and my nipples are sensitive. I've felt constantly exhausted for the last week but worse the last few days needing to be asleep by 8pm. I have a weird taste in my mouth and feel nauseous. I had a spare early detection hpt so thought why not. Well, within the time frame there was a positive! I rushed out to get another test but could only get the standard detection and that was negative. So could this be a late implanter? Or a duff test?
Has anyone ever experienced this?!

I definitely see two lines!!

I can't give you any help or advice as such but there is definitely two lines and clear as anything, don't even look like evap lines to consider that. Only thing I can suggest is getting another test like the one you have done and try again or a FRER test.

Hopefully someone who has experienced similar can help you out a bit better than I can 🙏

I had what I thought was a regular period - tmi clots and everything - tested positive and dc is now 4 months!

@Gettissuesgotissues yeah thats the thing isn't it, for some people they can still get that normal cycle but have the positive test as well. Fingers crossed for you @spacewitch10

How strange! Good luck OP, it very well could have been heavy implantation bleeding x

Hello op. Really don't want to worry you but I got a BFP right after a period. I'm in hospital for an ectopic - all good here just a little sore after the op. I'd suggest getting your GP to check HCG is doubling, mine was great when I explained I'd had a period and got me in immediately for the first test. Hopefully it's just a regular BFP but worth a check 🙂

Thank you @Billyv I'm booked in for a smear this morning so I will see if they can do my bloods instead, I did another normal detection test this morning and it's negative so I'm beginning to wonder if it's just a crap test and a false positive. But better to get the possibility of an ectopic ruled out. I hope your ok? Sounds like you have had a rough time xxx

I had something similar happen in July. AF on 2nd July. Ovulation due 13th but due to symptoms I tested on 15th and it was positive. I unfortunately had a chemical but I think I had probably ovulated later in June and the light period wasn't a period. Strange things can happen, when I had my daughter years ago I didn't find out until I was 3 month gone because I'd had bleeds that I assumed had been periods every month. Hope all goes well xx

I've also had an ectopic and got a late positive but the symptoms for that pregnancy were unique for me. Brown, light bleeding for weeks. Severe cramps on and off. Pulling behind belly button, swollen abdomen and shooting pains inside. So just keep an eye on symptoms xx

That original test looks faulty. I would try again with a different one
