Looking for any tips on how to improve fertility. Just found out that cycle 7 of TTC hasn’t worked and feeling pretty miserable about it. Had an ectopic pregnancy back in June and that’s all I’ve got to show so far from TTC - looking for any tips on how to improve overall health/chances/stuff that worked for you etc!

If relevant, am late twenties, healthy-ish (lots of walking, healthy BMI and OK diet but defo room for improvement) and TTC no.1. Am taking folic acid and loosely cycle tracking :) cycle is irregular but blood tests (FSH, progesterone, thyroid etc) are normal.

Thanks ladies ✨

Just going off what worked for us but we were trying for a good 6 months and then decided to cut out caffeine and managed to conceive almost immediately, I am 31 and due next month :)

@Superstorefan123 I've been pregnant 3 times (35+4 with second baby) and each baby took 8 months to conceive! Sometimes it takes longer than others and is just pure, random luck and chance.

I'm sorry to hear of your ectopic. The 12 month clock resets after any loss, which is rather frustrating but the odds are still in your favour of conceiving again in the next 6 ish months.

I was at the EPU this week and was advised absolutely no caffeine and live yoghurts as the bacteria offsets the bacteria in our CM.

I am also into holistic treatments. At a recent reiki appointment I had I was told I would get my baby through my diet.. Mediterranean diet is supposed to be amazing for fertility. She also told me to cut out dairy as its nutrients don't serve me (animal product meant for the baby of the animal and not for me as am trying to make my own baby).

Look up chicken bone broth on Google. It's supposed to be very beneficial as the nutrients that come from the bones don't occur naturally in our diets.

From my own research pumpkin, sesame and sunflower seeds. Pomegranate juice, pineapple core and kiwis.

I have been taking Huel as it's 'nutritionally complete' - but it has a good bit of folate and b12.

Also have heard good reports about sperm assisting lube!

Ps. On the caffeine info my nurse told me it's starting to be as advised to cut out as much as alcohol and smoking is.

If your cycle is irregular I wouldn’t be surprised if your ovulation is on unexpected days - have you managed to catch it? I didn’t think the pee sticks worked for me as I never got the flashing smile or whatever it is but it turned out when I did catch it, it was day 19 or 24 or something much later than expected.

I invested in the OvuSense to try and get better at it but got pregnant the month after so can’t review it specifically. I was also going to try the ‘sperm meets egg’ plan which has recommended supplements. I did take Co-Q-10 (is that what it’s called) as recommended too. Took me around 6m both times, mid-late 30s. Good luck

Apologies just to clarify.. daily live yoghurts as the bacteria is good lol not bad 😂

I ate a lot of Houmus (oestrogen apparently - no idea if it does anything but hey you get to the stage where you'll try it) and tried reflexology. The reflexologist knew I was pregnant before I did.

I read that a glass of grapefruit juice each day until ovulation increases ewcm. No idea if it works but we conceived the month we tried. Have seen it mentioned a few times on here.

NewBrightonEel · 21/11/2022 22:45

My boss's wife started coming into the office to do head massage and reflexology to help with stress at work. I'd red an article about reflexology helping with fertility (I had PCOS) so gave it a go - two colleagues (one with PCOS and one with endometriosis) tried it too - we were all pregnant within 4 months. Our kids turn 18 next year.

We used preseed last time and literally just ‘tried’ every day, sometimes twice a day at the peak. It was mentally and physically exhausting 🙈 Conceived third time lucky. This time we’re onto cycle 4 but we are taking it much more laidback. I hate how the odds every month are only 30% but it means you actually don’t have that much chance every time. Even if you get the timing exactly right, so many things can happen that mean you don’t get pregnant as a result 🤦🏼‍♀️ Wish we had a fast forward button

@NewBrightonEel wow, that’s interesting!
