Hi everyone,

my head is pickled with the TTC chat. First time trying. Using the clear blue tests.

first test was a blank circle, next morning flashing smiley face. When I got home from work that evening my husband pretty much pounced on me 😂 and we D2D. However about an hour after this I done another test and it was a solid smiley no flashing ! Have I by accident maybe done the d2d hopefully at the right time ? I’m so confused by it all.

This was on Tuesday evening. Tested again today and back to a blank circle.

Solid smiley is your peak. Did you DTD again today?
Id say that’s your chance of hitting the right time.

Yolo23 · 17/11/2022 21:49

Heey! I’m not the most experienced at all this myself but had a similar experience actually this month 🤣
From my understanding, you should be DTD at a flashing smiley and most definitely at a fixed smiley so it sounds as though you done it spot on!
Id expect the test to go back to a blank circle although haven’t got that far myself to testing after a fixed smiley (because I didn’t want to risk having something confusing pop up 🤣) - I’m all about blissful ignorance lol. Only this month have I used the digital Ovulation tests myself - we DTD pretty much text book so keeing my fingers crossed 🤞 how long have you been TTC and is it for your first? X

P.S sperm lives for avg 5 days inside you (creepy to say I know) so this means any time before the fixed smiley is good 😊🙌
doing it on the day of ovulation (24 to 48 hrs after the fixed smiley) is apparantly peak chance though!

@Kittenmum89 how are you getting on? 😊 I have a question about the digital test now myself… yesterday I had a flashing smiley and today when I went to do it again (the testing strip removed previously), it’s still flashing? Is that normal? I thought unless it’s a fixed smiley, the flashing only lasts 8 minutes and then you have to test again each day or am I missing something? Help please! Or anyone that may know please comment 🥰 Xx

Aww @Yolo23 fingers crossed for you this month ! Still no baby here. My husband works off shore so he has been away the last time I ovulated. Ovulating today also (are we ovulating twins haha) but he left again on Wednesday. Hopefully since we d2d a lot before he left we might get lucky 🍀

@Kittenmum89 oh no! That must be hard to try and work around but positive that you got a few in before he left - from research it lasts around 5 days so if you’re ovulating today then fingers crossed.

ovulation twins 🤣🎉 love it! Yes, most certainly ovulated and we DTD although not sure it was the most romantic 😅😂 In Nov we DTD the day before and the day of ovulation and I had my first EVER BFP however it ended very quickly with a chemical. I’m keeping everything crossed for this month… wishing you all the best too ✨xx

Just looking for some advice. I had ewcm yesterday eve and did a clear blue digital ovulation test in the eve. It was my first of the cycle as I am only on cd9!! Low and behold it came up
a solid smiley face. I have slight ovulation cramps this eve(24hrs after solid smiley) is this not v v early to be ovulating and should I be concerned? I usually have a regular 27day cycle. I am 40

@Dancebabydance123 heeeey! As far as I’m aware, that means you’re ovulating - it is earlier than I normally ovulate (I tend to be between CD13 and CD15 however everyone is different) - perhaps you’re on a shorter cycle this month for some reason?! Either way, best get down to business and keep your fingers and toes crossed I’d say 🥰
