D&C 4 weeks ago. Faint positive on FRER

Hi.
I’m just wondering if anyone can help?
I had a mmc at 12 weeks, baby was measuring 9 weeks. Opted for medical management but lost a lot of blood so was rushed to surgery and they got rid of everything there.
Got my negative test 10 days after d&c.
AF is yet to make an appearance so I did a FRER test and got a very faint positive. Could this be a new pregnancy or left over hcg?
The tests I got negative with was the normal ones so not sensitive as the frer

If you had a negative test I would imagine it's a new pregnancy but it took me 6 weeks to get a negative after my D&C and the frers are so sensitive it could be either. I would see if it gets darker in a couple of days 🤞🏼

Yeah it’s a waiting game really. It’s my second pregnancy and my first was a straight forward one so when I got the news that there was no heartbeat we were very shocked.
my DS is nearly 2 so want to give him a sibling soon.

@Coco190 I know that shock all too well it's rubbish esp after having children already you just don't expect it. I really hope it's a new one for you keep us updated 💕

did another test this morning and it was bfn. I’m assuming the sensitive FRER are picking up left over hcg. Just wish my AF would turn up now. Been over 4 weeks 😞

@Coco190 so sorry lovely it might be close to arriving. I got AF 5 weeks after mine and didn't get a negative test until 6 weeks so got my period with hcg still knocking about my system.

@Coco190 I did the cycle after but unfortunately that one also ended in a MMC. I decided to wait for that one to pass naturally but it didn't happen and I had another D&C 2 weeks ago

@Coco190 how did you get on? Mine took a strange turn had a negative test then couple of days after a faint positive so currently having bloods at the EPU

@mummatara negative. Even got different types of sensitive brands and all negative. So just waiting on AF. Been very crampy past few days so hopefully will make an appearance soon!

ooooh best of luck to you! Do you think it’s a new pregnancy or retained from your miscarriage?
Its so hard isn’t it after a mc - you don’t know what’s what or what your body is doing.

Tbh it's not impossible to be a new one because we have DTD but I'm still erring on the side of its residual hcg from the miscarriage. I had bloods 2 weeks ago they were at 114 yesterdays bloods were at 90 I go for a repeat on Thursday. I was hoping yesterdays blood wouldn't be so close to the 114 then I could probably tell which way the outcome would be. Thanks for coming back to me ill keep you updated x

@mummatara me too! It’ll be a relief when she does. We’ve ttc since and have had neg tests for a while now so hopefully it’ll be soon and I can track ovulation then!
