Mind were 5.6 at 32. We were doing ivf due to my husbands cancer. He had a very low sperm count (under a million). We did two rounds and froze for future kids. We didn't get many eggs but all excellent quality. Went for a transfer and found out I was pregnant naturally with fraternal twins. Lost one at 10 weeks but the other is currently climbing on top of me.

We have a family hisotur of twins so suspect mine is low due to releasing two eggs each month.

Honestly as long as you are ovulating and having periods amh numbers mean very little.

Thank you for replying. I’m very sorry to hear about your husband.
im having regular periods but have been trying for ten months and so I decided to get some tests done. They are pushing ivf but I’m not sure I want to go down that route. I don’t know why, I just don’t think I do. X

Hi - I had an AMH level of 6 at age 34. I had been trying to conceive naturally for 2 years at that point. I am now 36 and 17 weeks pregnant with my IVF baby. It was 4 years of trying for us and only successful with IVF.

I understand not wanting to try IVF as I had to grieve the idea of conceiving naturally but after 4 years you don't care lol.

Wishing you lots of luck xxxx

My AMH was borderline low, not very low, but technically classed as low - 14 at age 32. I'm currently 10 weeks pregnant after 14 months trying.

My understanding is that a low amh does not affect your potential to conceive right now, but in the future - it shortens the window you can conceive, but there is no reason to think the quality of your eggs right now is any lower than it should be.

My husband also had sperm issues: slightly lower count and very low morphology. If you haven't already done sperm testing, I would do, because it could be a combo of problems.

I’m not sure what it is about ivf. I think I’m just scared - I don’t even know why.

Thanks, the woman actually called my husband super sperm - so no issues there. I guess I’m just going to have to go down the ivf route sooner rather than later.
