Hello to any one reading this!
Came off the pill in March time. Periods were fine. Didn't track until july/august in which i had cycles 37 days and 30 days. But i have now not had af since 25th august!! Its just disappeared.

Multiple bfn including today. Blood test results have come back normal.

I have no idea what to do now?! Has this happened to any one else? Looks like its going to take us a while, if at all to conceive baby number 2!

So sorry this is happening to you, this is also me at the mo. Came off the pill in June, AF seemed regular at first but now I'm on day 71 of my cycle 😭First time it was missed I assumed covid vaccine, but the fact it's STILL not here despite high bbt and testing bfn... I could genuinely cry.

I think next step is GP if you miss 3? Can't wait to be told to lose weight and reduce stress (maybe I'm just a cynic)

Oh really? I'm sorry its happening to you too! I've lost count of what CD i am on now.
I also got flashing smileys and a static on clear blue ovulation tests a few weeks ago! That was obviously wrong😱

Ive been in touch with the gp, she recommended the blood tests which i got back today as all normal, so i guess i will have to call back and see whats next going forward! I think im day 90 something😔

I hope yours arrives for you soon, and mine. Never wanted AF so bad!

Morning @Cm078 did the GP say what they tested for with your bloods? At one point I was going months without a period and bloods confirmed higher androgens linked with pcos and I had a scan to confirm. It might not be this but worth checking!

Once diagnosed my GP was pretty useless so I upped my supplements, took a preconception and inositol and started having monthly periods again after a month or so! Xx

Good morning!
No she didn't say what they were testing but all came back fine!
I'll ring again this week or next to make a plan going forward as this has never happened before and is getting rather annoying!
Seems its more common than i thought.

Hi @Cm078, the same thing happened to me, came off pill in March, periods returned as normal until July/August when it suddenly stopped. I had blood tests in July before this happened and GP then diagnosed pcos due to high testosterone levels, missed periods and other factors. She prescribed me metformin, period came 2 weeks later and have just had another cycle, so hopefully everything is back to normal. Definitely go see your GP, I am so glad I did and to get back on track TTC.

How long did your period go for? You know what gps are like these days. So hard to get them to take interest.
I might wait until 25th November and then it'll be 3 missed periods and theyll have to take me seriously?!
Glad yours have come back!! Ive never missed them so badly😂😂

@Cm078 I missed two cycles in total; I had never missed a cycle before prior to taking the pill. The stress about not having a period probably didn’t help either. I was so, so happy to finally get my period back and to feel normal again, I never thought I would say that about a period!
I just so happened to get blood tests done on the cycle my period disappeared so by the time I was getting the results from the GP, I had missed a second period and we were able to discuss it then. GP then completed blood test to make sure I wasn’t pregnant and I was advised to start metformin for the pcos straight away once the pregnancy results came back negative. Now, whether it works for ttc, here’s hoping!

See, im not even sure if i was tested for pregnancy, I'd imagine so though. I did wonder if i have pcos. I have a terrible spotty chin which doesn't clear up ever. Only been there a year or so and so much body hair🙈 go through razors like theyre going out ot fasion... and then theres the irregular periods. But i guess something would have showed up in my blood test, im just so confused!!
Fingers crossed for you!! I wanted to be pregnant by now but i haven't even had a period! So odd, my first only took 3 cycles off the pill. He's 2.5 now!
🤞 it happens for us!

Fingers crossed you get sorted soon@Cm078 I also stopped using clear blue opk you mentioned earlier, it was stressful seeing those constant flashing smiley faces and static smileys which you know are out of sync when AF doesn’t arrive. I moved to easy@home opk strips this cycle and much more straight forward.
It really is hard work this TTC!!

curliegirlie · 15/11/2022 23:30

When I had an 146 day cycle the culprit was hypothyroidism. Levothyroxine got things back on track.

It really is. I called GP back today, she wasn't really interested. "Too soon" to do anything she says. She's going to email gynae for advice!
Ive ordered some conceive plus fertility tablets to try. Reviews are really good for helping regularte cycles. I'll try anything right now if GP wont help!🙈

Ahhh. My thyroid levels came back fine! So don't think that's the case with me. 😔 kinda wish it was so I'd have an answer!

Sorry to hear you didn’t have much joy with the GP @Cm078 hopefully AF will regulate and make an appearance soon for you.

Cm078 · 22/11/2022 18:20
