Using Oura / Natural Cycles for BBT tracking

I have been using an Oura ring combined with Natural Cycles for BBT tracking and to try and pinpoint ovulation while TTC #2. I tried using NC with the thermometer a few years ago when TTC my first but didn’t get on very well with it because of needing to remember to take my temp first thing.

Thought that using the ring might be a good way of countering my own forgetfulness (it calculates based on readings throughout the night and doesn’t rely on a reading when you first wake up) but my temps just seem to be a bit all over the place. Not sure if it’s just not that reliable, or my BBT genuinely is a bit scatty!

Has anyone else tried this and found similar, or is it just me?

Hello! I'm probably late in my reply but I've been using Natural Cycles for years now, very inconsistent with the temps once we wanted to conceive (I just always forgot/didn't care as much when it wasn't to prevent it!!). I have endo and cysts on both ovaries but pretty really regular cycles - but my ovulation prediction was pretty hit or miss when I wasn't tracking my temp regularly.

I got my Oura ring and after 3 months I actually did conceive! It showed my cycles/temps pretty much the same in the 3 months, and my ovulation at day 19 - so for me the temp tracking is pretty accurate. Sadly I ended up miscarrying at 7w but I'm happy to have the Oura ring and NC to help me keep trying. I really like the beta feature on NC for reading your OPKs!

So interestingly I actually did also conceive the month I posted this so maybe was more accurate than I gave it credit for! Thanks for replying and sorry to hear about your miscarriage - hope the Oura/NC combo helps you to conceive your rainbow baby xx

When you purchased your oura ring did you have to pay tax on arrival? It says when you pay for it that you might ?
is it sent from US to UK?
did you purchase yours on their website in $ ?
thanks 😊
