I'm still abit confused on this, I stopped taking my pill on the 20th of September and I never had a period so I must of fallen pregnant pretty quickly. I know they say to go by the first day of your last period, but I didn't have one 🤷🏻‍♀️

I have done two Clear Blue tests a few weeks ago and one said 5+ weeks and the other said 3+weeks.

I have my first scan booked for the 7th of December. But if I'm allot earlier on than I think I am then this will affect the scan coming up wouldn't I?

Hope that makes sense

Kelly :)

Congratulations! I was in a similar situation when I fell pregnant with my DS last year. I came off the pill in April and found out I was pregnant at the start of June. I just based it off when we DTD and when I probably conceived to start off with and then the midwives just used that info to guess a date. Not the most accurate but you’ll only be a week or so out (and they usually go for the earliest date when booking for your 12wk scan)

They’ll be able to give you a date from the scan, if you know a conception date at all that would help them but usually the scan gives a date exactly

I think you roughly add 2 weeks onto conception date for the NHS date as most people ovulate on day 14 and you’re counted as being pregnant since the last day you started a period
