12dpo negative FRER

Regular poster - NC.

I'm going mad here.

Haven't been actively trying to get pg but DH and I had a "slip up" around about the time I think I ovulated. (Basing this on sharp one sided pain and EWCM so not exactly scientific)

I'm now what I think is 12 dpo and did a FRER yesterday and today (FMU) and they are both negative.

However - for the past week I've had a constant urge to pee, feel bloated, pressure feeling in lower abdo, crampy, nausea, very thirsty (this was a symptom early in my last pg)

No sore boobs, no CM, no other pregnancy symptoms.

I'm switching between thinking I've either got a UTI or sudden onset diabetes, to thinking I'm pg and it's just not showing up on test yet.

I do have two other children and we weren't actively trying but I'd always wanted a third. So really, either way I'd be happy but the not knowing is driving me up the wall.

Has anyone had a negative on 12dpo FRER and then turned out to be pg?

Shameless wee bump 😬

Hi @incognitocheeto I would think at 12 DPO you would be able to see a line now, especially on a frer. But at the same time everyone is different!

incognitocheeto · 09/11/2022 16:10

Thanks for replying - that's what I was thinking too. Just had some very very strong and odd symptoms over the past week but I've probably been overthinking it.

You never know though! Some people do get a later BFP, wishing you all the best either way X

incognitocheeto · 09/11/2022 18:28

Thank you - will see what the next few days hold.....

Never know.. you could have ovulated a few days later than you thought so might not show a positive yet 😊

Quite possible - literally have no clue as not been monitoring it. Thanks for replying.

Now on CD28 - no sign of AF but feeling more and more nauseous
IC test still negative, however these were still showing a negative result last time I was pg.

Hate the not knowing 😩

@incognitocheeto I’m now invested in this 😂 do you think you would like it to be positive after all this guessing? I got my bfp at 12dpo before and thought that was really late. 9dpo now and patiently waiting to test tomorrow morning

Yes I think I would because otherwise I fear I may be missing some sort of serious illness with the amount of bloating, pelvic pain and cramping going on.

I'm honestly a bit in denial and won't let myself think about it too much..... I'm not exactly a spring chicken so I had sort of come to the conclusion it wasn't on the cards anymore.

I've only done a fairly unreliable cheapie test today - reluctant to keep buying more expensive tests but last time I was pg it never showed on the alleged 10miu cheapies.

Another update

Still negative
Still no AF

Still got all the symptoms
Just discovered that if you have PCOS that it can take weeks for the hcg to show up on a test!! Never heard this before but it would explain things!

@incognitocheeto Hey lovely! Another not exactly a spring chicken here lol, on second cycle of ttc #3 as well 😊 I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you!! I'm now 12dpo.

I did have a wonky cycle 10 months ago, thinking I was defo pregnant. I’m usually 28-30 days, but 10 months ago my cycle was 49 days and I was suuuure something was either wrong or I’m pregnant. Went so see my GP around the day 40 (which I’ve never been before) and she said everything looked normal…

it’s not always pregnancy, perhaps you did not ovulate or you ovulated very late. Early pregnancy symptoms can also be approaching AF symptoms, so there may not be nothing wrong really.

Of course I’m keeping my fingers crossed for you and that you are in fact pregnant, but having a longer cycle here and there doesn’t mean that there is something significantly wrong with you.

I do have very long cycles sometimes - I think my longest has been 52 days.

I have polycystic ovaries and I think that may be the cause.

The difference this time is that I feel totally different from any other cycle. I can almost "feel" my uterus in my tummy, have nausea, sore boobs - I just feel very similar to when I've been pregnant before.

There's definitely something strange going on - just wish I knew what it was!

Oh well AF is well and truly here for anyone invested in the thread.

I definitely believe "something" happened and it didn't quite make it, but I guess I'll never know.

No more babies for me 😢

@incognitocheeto Ahhh, horrid AF 😒 I know how you feel.
You do want a baby though, I know you said you're not really trying but you've always wanted a third (like me), so, start ttc actively and have you heard of the supplements recommended from It Starts With The Egg?
It's a book people buy but I've downloaded it for free online. Haven't read it all yet, I could try to post the link on here :)
I don't take all the stuff recommended cause some don't apply to me (like melatonin I think it was, that doesn't apply to me..).

Here's what I take:
Ubiquinol 200mg (and NOT the Ubuqininone as Ubiquinol is raw and absorbs better - some ppl take 600 mg a day as that's what some fertility clinics recommend apparently, some people take 100mg- 300mg, it's all good 😊)
Folate 400 mg (again raw folic acid, absorbs better)
Pregnacare Conception (which has lots in it including 400mg of folic acid)

When youre no srping chicken any more it's good to take 800mg (even more some ppl)- of folate/folic acid
My partner takes exactly the same (Wellman for fertility for men instead of Pregnacare obv).
All of the above EVERY DAY.

If my AF arrives I'll start taking EPO (Evening Primrose Oil)- only UNTIL ovulation though as it helps increasing the CM and can be harmful in pregnancy.

Anyway, wishing you best of luck xx
