anyone looked at egg donation?

just wondering if anyone had looked into egg donation
as i am thinking about donating!!!

Hello there - I thought about this especially when I was TTC. I think I have decided against in the end - not sure but BF at the moment so can't do it yet anyway - but I found the boards on fertilityfriends really useful to get perspectives from both sides. I think it is a brilliant and generous thing to do but I think I would be too attached to the idea that the child would come and find me 18 years later and we would have a loving reunion and a great relationship afterwards.

There is a thread on fertilityfriends for both recipients and donors. I was a donor to my sister - and found the whole process very easy and completely painless.

Can i butt in?? I am an egg recipient, had to go this route due to having cancer. I now have a beautiful 9 month old daughter, who is my world.

She is the most precious gift in the world and no words can express the gratitude I feel for the woman who donated her eggs to me.

It is the most beautiful gift of all.

It is a very selfless act, so if you do it, can i just say thank you.
