Clear blue test. Evap line or positive

I'm about 8/10 dpo as I'm not certain what day I ovulated. I did a test and forgot about it and went back to it after an hour. I've heard bad things about CB and evap lines, but the line is very much blue.

Did they do you a pregnancy test before hand and what was the results as I'm going doctors tomorrow for blood test just wondering if they tested on a test stick before hand x

What do you guys think? I retested today after getting what looked like a faint positive. The small strip is from a clearblue digital test I had to yank it out because the screen didn't work.

your post has made me feel a little more at ease, these are my tests from yesterday and then today, todays one was with mid morning pee so not as strong a line but it does go all the way down, just not a clear photo.

Can anyone help me out on these tests! My period is due in about 5 days. Both these tests were taken on the same day. Is this a faint positive or evap line? (I’d never even heard of this before reading all the threads) Im so confused! TTC second child. Few months in now. I was so lucky with my first as it was first time lucky! So these tests and evap lines are confusing me 🤣

@Kirsteebell these tests are a nightmare
I have some very convincing blue lines and we’re not positive, the only way to know is to wait and retest . You would want to see the same thickness in the test strip really . Good luck tho and hope it’s something for you

Hi all,
Can anyone please help me with this confusion.🙏When I tested for the first 5mins there was no lines and later like after 2-3 hours i observed a partial line.
I tested time when I'm 4 days late to periods.
Can anyone please confirm if it's evap line or positive. Or any suggestions that shld take test after few days?

@Priyapriya this is an evap line, these tests are awful for them. Test again tomorrow with a pink dye test if you can!

im due my period today but nothing, not a cramp, instead I have clear white discharge.

I did a cheapie test the other day and got a faint positive, did two more and got negative.

I did a test today, clearblue and it looked like nothing came up at first, so I left it. Went back after a while and something came up - though it’s probably an evap line. I’ve added all pictures below.

i ordered a frer which will come tomorrow - in the past, that’s all I’ve used. It’s been 8 years since the last time I was pregnant so everything is new again

ive had many symptoms from feeling nauseous, cramps around few days after ovulation, I was really run down and unwell around that time too, haven’t been much better since, this morning and after a nap I’ve had bleeding gums twice, and even though I’ve not got a bug etc, I had d this morning (sorry tmi). My boobs have been sore, but manageable and at times dull, sharp and tingles. I’m usually like clockwork 😔

@melb877 it looks suspicious to me - only way of knowing is another test - did it show straight away ?

@melb877 when did this show up? It looks like a classic evap that’s been left out for a while. The line needs to be thick to be a positive. Try another one 😊

Not sure when it showed, for sure not in the first 3 mins. It was white with a really faint line, almost invisible. Then I left it and when I looked at it again later this blue thin line was there. I will test again in the next days.

So I would try your hardest to wait until the day of your missed period. I understand wanting to know asap but I would wait, these lines are extremely iffy. I took 5 clear blue tests and got these exact lines (thinner / very dark blue line) after 4 days of same thing (4 days late period) I got my period. In my opinion after having this happen many times over and over again I would recommend all ladies to just test when you have higher HCG levels to avoid this, you will know its positive without having to question it, the line will be thick like the control line and will come up within a couple minutes maybe even seconds after you pee on the tester. If you are trying Goodluck and hope that you get a positive ✨️

another note, don't bother taking any result after the testing window, the evaporation lines are very real in pregnancy tests and that's why it says it all over the package and in instructions to disregard the test results after the window. Also another note, I asked my doctor this, if the line is not as thick as the control line and it appeared AFTER the testing line it is most likely an evaporation line as faint positives/positives will be thick they will just appear faint and light, evaporation lines are always thin and can contain colour especially in clear blue tests.

The clear blue up to the light seems promising. Give it a couple days, they say every 24-48hrs ur HCG levels almost double. Goodluck!

I'm 99% sure that's an evap. It came up after the time limit. It's an incomplete line (broken in the middle) and it's very thin.

Anyone help here? We're ttc and I've had a teeny start of period that has then dried up for 2 days and it was 3-4 days early when usually pretty clockwork.

Did this test this morning and no clue what the solid pink line is about? Did I pee in the wrong spot/too long?
Defo not blue or where the test says the line would be.

This was no more than 10mins after
