Breastfeeding no period

Has anyone got pregnant while breastfeeding, before they got their period back?

I got pregnant while breastfeeding with two of mine but had to go back on the mini pill for a couple of weeks to get my periods to come back in order to ovulate and it worked both times. Then breastfed through pregnancy.

Thanks for that. I still haven't had my period but did have an 'accident' the other night. My research tells me that while it's definitely possible to get pregnant before periods return, it's not that likely. The accident happened on Friday so I just need to wait long enough to test. My baby is over 6 months but really does feed around the clock, day and night so hopefully that goes in my favour!

I peed all over this with fmu. The test progressed in a very strange way as I'd clearly flooded it but a second pink line came up as soon as the dye started moving and while it has faded, still has a pink tinge. I did another a few hours later and it was negative (dipped it this time). I don't have periods yet and only had sex a week ago, though I found out I was pregnant with my most recent baby on 8dpo and it was a very clear line. It's most likely a dud but I've peed on about 50 million of these in the past and this looks convincing. Only time will tell.
