I started CB 4 ovulations strips a week ago and had one blank circle to start. Since then it's been a flashy smilie for 9 days.

Should I carry on to get a static or just give up?

It hasnt found you LH surge. There is advice on their website regarding this.

Hi! I think the advice is to keep trying but anything longer than 9 days not to. You should get a smiley that stays on when it detects the LH Surge. I’m new here but I had a stayed on smiley this month so it must work!

Although randomly this month had two circles followed immediately by a static smiley - no flashing this month ??

I found the first time I used the 4 fertile days CB tests that I had 12 days of flashing smileys. Once it learnt my cycle, I then got 3-4 flashing days as standard. The main test holder learns your results, so it can take a few cycles to get to know your own hormone levels. I know the instructions say stop testing after 9/10 days, but I would keep going as it may be you haven't peaked yet.

I also got cheap sticks from Amazon and used them in the evening, and once they showed a peak, I would then confirm with the CB - I always got my peak in the evening, and didn't want to use two CBS in one day as they're expensive, so doubled up with the cheaper version.

They worked as I'm now pregnant with DC2 (didn't use them for DC1, but life with a baby means I needed to target sex as accurately as possible!). The cycle I fell pregnant, I actually only managed to have sex on the day of the static smiley.

@canyoutoleratethis you're supposed to use a new reader every cycle so it can't learn your cycle.
