Hey ladies,

Thought I would create a thread for those testing towards the end of Nov/early December.

I'm CD2, TTC first baby. On cycle 5.

fingers crossed for us all!

We just got our bfp after 2 years of ttc! The only thing we did different was ignore my ovulation dates and DTD every second day for the whole month straight. Good luck and positive baby energy to everyone 🙏❤️

Huge congratulations @Massi2022 !!!
You must be over the moon and thanks for the energy ❤️
That's what my doctor suggested to us too.
Hope you have a very smooth and enjoyable 9 months!!

Soda123x · 12/11/2022 19:48

Congratulations ❤
I totally agree with your approach.
Were trying for baby #2. Our 1st was conceived when we took the pressure off. Ignored the apps and just DTD as much as poss ... that way it didn't feel forced. It can be so off-putting and unromantic sticking to a routine xx

CreatingLittlePudding · 12/11/2022 21:51

Positive opk yesterday, ovulation pains today so tomorrow I'm in the tww, got some sensitive tests so I'll be testing early this cycle. Being strong enough to hold out until day of period then having a bfn last cycle was a slap in the face so I'm gonna test probably from 8dpo so I don't get my hopes up

That's a good idea and I am with you on testing early - It does take some of "the not knowing until later" pressure and expectations away. I would do so too! And I am probably only two days ahead of you on cycle. 😊🤗

Massi2022 · 12/11/2022 22:06

@Soda123x I would always feel a really big pressure when ovulation approached to make the most of it to make sure we didn’t miss it. I’m convinced some months my ovulation dates were off anyways and I never really liked ovulation sticks as they actually stressed me out as well. There was no way we could have DTD every day but every second day (give or take , if we were tired we didn’t bother) felt easier than going by the dates in the end

BCxx · 13/11/2022 07:00

@Massi2022 congratulations! 😊 yeah I totally agree. I also think the memory of it very quickly fades. It took us 3 months last time which isn’t long at all but when you’re desperately wanting it to happen every moment for 90 days it does seem like a while. People will ask now how long it took and I say ‘aw really quick, it was the third month’ but at the time it was torture 🙈 must be like child birth haha

BCxx · 13/11/2022 07:01

Mrs I’m not testing til Wednesday has just tested on Sunday🤣 at maximum 8dpo so don’t know what I was expecting! Test wasted 🙈 I only have 4 so I could run out by Thursday if I still need one

ChipAndDip · 13/11/2022 09:47

Hi all,

I’ve been lurking but no updates until now. CD 13 and I’ve just got a flashing smiley which is very early for me (don’t usually peak until at least CD20) so I might have flashing smileys for a while yet, let’s see!

The only thing I’ve done differently this month is started taking Proceive but I don’t think they would have an impact on ovulation.

Anyway we’ll start DTD every other day now until I get a solid smiley, then will try a couple of days in a row. 🤞

Aprilsunnyday · 13/11/2022 11:08

@BCxx hehe we sometimes do such things to ourselves, I had the same mistake last month 😅 hopefully the more days will give hope!

@Roxybabe, hope your opk day can also maybe not fall on the day dh is away too! 🤞Although I d not worry because of the before after efforts 😉

Ahh I made a big mistake yesterday, had a latte with two shots when out with friends and it kept me up till 1am... I should have known better on caffeine vs tww too. It got me a bit worried. (although likely no beans to worry about at all 🙈)
Do you ladies have coffee at all in tww? How do you think about it? x

ChloeN · 13/11/2022 11:57

@ChipAndDip maybe early ovulation for you this month? 🤞🏻 you’re not on flashing smileys for too long! Xx

@Aprilsunnyday I drink decaf tea now, only because I stopped drinking normal when I was pregnant before and I think it tastes the same so never stopped! But if I go to Starbucks or costa I would still have coffee I don’t think it would hurt! Xx

BCxx · 13/11/2022 12:00

@Aprilsunnyday I don’t like coffee but was convinced on here the other day when asking about wine that you’re not pregnant til you’ve missed a period so it’l be fine even if you are!

im going to desperately try not to test tomorrow before work then that way hopefully Tuesday’s result is a definite one way or another. I’m not opening my clearblue digitals til I’ve seen the hint of a line on a FRER!

JuniperandI · 13/11/2022 14:30

Are both of these OPKs positive? The bottom one is the same colour as the control. Taken 10 hours apart.

I swear if I'm not pregnant this cycle I'm getting the Clearblue digital test kit! These strips drive me round the bend.

Knov20 · 13/11/2022 15:07

@Aprilsunnyday I'll probably start testing next weekend as if these tests are free haha! I honestly am so impatient!! I'm second guessing every little twinge I'm feeling. I got some cramps yesterday and some today but it's probably nothing!!

Roxybabe · 13/11/2022 16:46

@JuniperandI they look pretty positive to me! I’m wondering the same with mine. I think we are cycle twins!

CD13 and this is my OPK… Premom saying low but I think it looks very almost positive?

JuniperandI · 13/11/2022 17:49

@Roxybabe that's definitely almost positive. I reckon it'll be a blazing positive tomorrow! I'm CD15 😁

Roxybabe · 13/11/2022 17:57

@JuniperandI I think so too, hubby goes away tomorrow with work and won’t be back until Wednesday so I already feel like i’m out😔 hopefully we can DTD tomorrow morning before he leaves.

OP posts:
JuniperandI · 13/11/2022 18:00

@Roxybabe as sperm can live for up to 5 days, you're definitely not out!
I know how frustrating it can be though. DH isn't in the mood for it today, so I'm hoping DTD yesterday and tomorrow will catch the egg!

Roxybabe · 13/11/2022 18:12

@JuniperandI I know that what they say but I always worry that won’t be true for us and I always like to time it as close to O day as possible!! But crossing my fingers as there isn’t much else I can do!

JuniperandI · 13/11/2022 19:02

@Roxybabe it's hard when life gets in the way of TTC isn't it?! There wasn't this pressure before TTC, sometimes I wish I could go back before peeing on sticks and tracking my cycle etc 😫

Chanteuse · 14/11/2022 00:05

Joining 🙋🏻‍♀️ We are TTC #1. CD9, cycle 4.

Using OPKs for the first time this month as AF was super late last cycle and want to be sure of when I ovulate.

Good luck to everyone 💕

CreatingLittlePudding · 14/11/2022 07:46

@Aprilsunnyday So glad its not just me! i feel like testing early will help me lower my expectations and not feel so disheartened with a bfn. 2DPO and already bored of the tww 😅😅

CreatingLittlePudding · 14/11/2022 07:47

@Roxybabe hoping you got to dtd before he went away 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

Aprilsunnyday · 14/11/2022 11:22

Thanks ladies for the reply on my coffee question!

@ChloeN, decaf is a good choice I agree. I d think also we are just being extra careful because of ttc

@BCxx, yeah I d say it doesn't matter too much as long as we are sensible. I googled under 200mg is fine on caffeine.
Also, these must be soo many babies conceived after a drink. 😅🙈

@Knov20, I will test around same time with you! Fingers crossed for this month. (or next, and next.. until its bfp😊)

BabyMamma7 · 14/11/2022 11:29

Hi all!

I am CD21, ovulated CD13/14, AF due 24 November (16 day LP)

This is cycle 8 TTC since my DH vasectomy reversal. I took letrozole 5mg this cycle.

Fingers crossed and baby dust to all you lovely ladies

Aprilsunnyday · 14/11/2022 12:00

@CreatingLittlePudding
You are definitely not alone 😊
Most places say don't test too early which certainly has its pros. I think sometimes knowing early would help to manage expectation and planning.... That's just me though. 🙈
