End of November testers (TTC August Baby)

Hey ladies,

Thought I would create a thread for those testing towards the end of Nov/early December.

I'm CD2, TTC first baby. On cycle 5.

I really wish I new when I actually ovulated, could be 4-6dpo I think...ugh longest two weeks eveeerrrr

@Tbark i bought preseed because I thought may as well can’t hurt, not to sound gross but we thought it felt horrible and made it really sticky down there🤣🤣 so we only used it once and wouldn’t use it again!

@BCxx i heard the same about lees ewcm if dehydrated! I drink loads of water and get quite a lot but my opks are always lighter than they should be, but because I drink loads of water everyday I still do see a rise!

@ChloeN hmmm maybe I will.give that a miss for now hahha! Are these the tests everyone has been using and does anyone have any do's and don't? I drink about 2 litres of water a day, would this make them difficult to interpret?

@Tbark it wasn’t great lol it almost did the opposite of what it was meant too 🤢🤣 The opks you mean?? My wee is always like clear and I’ve still been able to use them! I just never got as high of a peak as everyone else but you can still clearly see them going up

Sorry @ChloeN the picture didn't load! Is it these ones? Or are any OPKs good? My BBT is on a downward trend, that with spotting I'm definitely out for another month so I'm focusing on next month to keep me sane 😅

@Tbark there the ones I use, I really like them! I think they give really clear obvious lines whereas I’ve seen other ones and they never seem to look dark even at peak which is confusing! I’ve heard mom med ones are meant to be good if not!

We’ll I’m completely lost this cycle, after 12 days of flashing smileys (CD14-25) I ran out of tests and I am not buying any more! But I did get some normal OPKs yesterday and they’re looking pretty dark (not quite positive, but almost). I’m just going to keep DTD every 2-3 days and hope for the best 😅 I have peaked as late as day 27 before (and got pregnant) so it’s not impossible I’m ovulating late. The flashing smileys really confused things though!

So girls I am absolutely lost I don’t understand what’s happening anymore.
Yesterday 11 dpo felt like period was due and had intense ovary pain, insane fatigue, irritability.
Today nothing.
I had a tiny temperature drop yesterday as well and it went a bit up today.
Could it have been implantation?
My period is due in 5 days.

@ChipAndDip oh you poor thing are you totally fed up of dtd now?🤣 I would just stick with the normal opks at this point too if not you’ll be bankrupt!!

@alexalexalex18 I really have no idea with bbt😔 all your symptoms sound good but all very confusing at the same time!

This is so frustrating, I might cave and do a test tomorrow, it will be 13 dpo

@alexalexalex18 at least then you’d know either way, sometimes it’s easier just to give in and test so you’re not left wondering!

@ChloeN I’m actually quite enjoying it! Have been much more relaxed and not stressing if we miss a day or 2. It’s been much better this way. How are you feeling? Have you had any pregnancy symptoms yet?

@Daisy1992 Congratulations on your BFP 🎉🎉 Lovely news! I might try evening primrose next cycle if this one doesn't work out, as I don't get much ewcm at all.

Currently 8DPO and symptom spotting like a mad woman 😅 I've had a weird sensation in my lower abdomen since last night, like Braxton Hicks tightening sensations. Although it's probably in my head! No other symptoms really, pinky/brown tinged cm but I often spot mid-cycle so that doesn't really mean anything for me.

I had brown tinged cm yesterday when I was cramping and feeling like period was due :0
I’m thinking it was definitely implantation now.
I have cheap tests, do they work 5 days before period?

@ChipAndDip oh that’s good! It’s much nicer being relaxed☺️ my nipples are really sore, more cm and I’m so tired but that it’s so far! I wouldn’t mind feeling sick just to reassure me🤣

@alexalexalex18 yep by 12/13dpo early tests should pick it up!

@Daisy1992 congrats hun! So exciting!! This gives me hope as I’m cycle 5, will be cycle 6 next month and I’ve ordered some EPO as I don’t see much CM! What dose did you take?

I don’t think these are early tests 🥺
My last wee was at 3:30 so hoping to wait one more hour or two at least and test with one of these.
12 dpo today.
I read that HCG doubles every 48h since implantation and if mine was yesterday I’m not really sure these tests will pick it up.

It says they can detect hCG as low as 25 mlU/ml

@alexalexalex18 no they don’t look like early ones, that’s annoying!! No it probably wouldn’t pick it up tbh, I used a normal test on 10dpo but I think I implanted more like 6-7dpo so had a few more days to rise enough, it was still faint tho

@Roxybabe I'm thinking of doing the same - EPO and OPKs. I will carry on with my bbt as well to see if that coincides witg the OPK. I'm cycle 6 next month and it feels like this is taking forever even though I know they say its normal to take a year or so. I'm 36 in january so I feel like time is ticking. And working surrounded by babies and pregnant mummies is so hard when you've just had a BFN!!

Just advice for everyone TTC.
I moved a year ago to the UK and I am a bit horrified by how difficult it is to get seen by a gyno.
I had endometriosis and got surgery in March so I did a bunch of tests and want to share a bit of my knowledge.

Push with your GP to get your AMH and FSH level checked.
AMH needs to be done between day 2 - 4 since AF comes.
And around day 7-8 schedule a transvaginal scan to check how many follicles are per ovary.
The biggest lie is that we think we have time… Don’t wait 1 or 2 years without doing these tests.

Hi everyone! Been a couple weeks since I’ve been here….may have some positive news……4 days until I’m due. had a feeling just to test using first response. it’s very faint but I saw it within a few minutes!! Please tell me you guys see a BFP?!

@Elephantrose18 how many dpo are you lovely?? I feel like I can see something faint! I know how hard it is to get a photo this early!
