Cycle day 43 negative test this evening?

Hi everyone, I'm pretty worried as my period is like pretty much like clockwork every month with a 32 day cycle give or take a couple days since I was 13 (I'm now 21) but my Flo period tracker has been telling me to take a test as I'm now on cycle day 43. I took a Clear Blue non digital test this evening and it was negative. Could I still be pregnant? Not really sure what I should do.

Any response is appreciated, thank you <3

Ok so I’m not sure how helpful this is but when I got pregnant with my DD I didn’t test positive until around 19 days after AF was “due”. I say “due” because when I eventually had a scan I thought I was around 9/10 weeks pregnant based on last AF but I was only 7+3 because I had obviously ovulated late and as I wasn’t tracking anything I didn’t realise until the scan. DD is now a healthy 3 year old 😊

Should caveat this with (1) I’d only had a coil removed 3 months before I got pregnant and (2) I was diagnosed with an underactive thyroid a few months before and had only just got it managed when I got pregnant so my cycles weren’t exactly regular anyway, so for me it probably wasn’t unusual that I ovulated late. But I had never had a cycle over 32/33 days before I got pregnant.

So it can happen!

Also try testing with first morning urine rather than evening

Thank you for your response! My red dye tests arrived this morning right before my first wee so I took one and the faintest pink line appeared right as it was travelling up the stick, not sure if it could still be an evap line so I'll test again later on and over the next few days (there are about a hundred tests in the pack😂) I'm not ttc but last year I had a loss completely out of the blue after my contraceptive implant was removed and its given me a lot of anxiety around possible pregnancy as it was a really stressful thing for me and my partner to go through. Clearly the stress might be making things worse! Congrats on your DD😁

I’m sorry you went through that I can only imagine how stressful that was. Best of luck, I hope you get the outcome you want either way xx

I've just completely missed a period fir the first time ever. I'm older, 41 and was worried it was early menopause. Did 4 tests, was absolutely convinced, even had a few pregnancy symptoms. Nothing. Then my period started on Friday as it would have done if I'd had my last period. So a completely missed period but otherwise normal 28 day cycle. I think I may have had covid without realising- I've been smelling cigarettes all day and had a weird brain sensation as I did last time with covid. I haven't tested for it but covid messed up my periods last time. Glad it's not menopause! Could you have had covid?

Itsybitsykitsy · 07/11/2022 00:26

@Bawdrip I think I've got a few covid tests still knocking about the cupboard somewhere so I'll take a test tomorrow. Now that you mention it I have been feeling pretty run down and have coughed a few times, similar to when I had covid before. My period is due again in another ten days so waiting it out until then to go to the doctors is probably a good plan. I'm a bit concerned as I have a covid booster jab on the 11th and I've heard it can delay periods so god help me if that pushes it back even further😬
