Cyclogest - when to take it?

Hello, just looking for other people's experiences of using cyclogest please - my doctor has told me to take it from the day of the peak LH on ovulation test which confused me as I thought ovulation could take place up to 36 hours after the peak?! It would be great to hear what others were advised to do please :-)

I realise you posted this a while ago but I was wondering if you ever got an answer? I was prescribed Cyclogest 200 mg twice daily for short luteal phase. My Dr told me to take it from day 15 but I always get a positive urine LH test on day 17 … so wondering should I start it day 18 ie. The day after I likely ovulate? Anyway just wondering if you ever got any clarification on this?

My doctor said to take it from the day of LH peak and then when I questioned it, said the evening of the peak if peak detected mid-morning. Instead, I decided to take if from 3 DPO (tracking ovulation with LH tests and BBT to feel confident ovulation had actually occurred). The first cycle doing this I became pregnant but unfortunately had an early loss (5 weeks 3 days). I'm going to try using it for the second time this cycle starting tomorrow 🤞

If I were you I'd want to wait a couple of days after the LH peak to be sure but I guess there must be a reason they say taking it earlier 🤷‍♀️

Hi @Sweetie13 thanks so much for your reply that’s really helpful and I’m so sorry for your recent loss. I think I’ll wait a day or two after ovulation like you say as that’s how most others seem to be taking it and i didn’t get the impression there was a specific reason he told me to take it earlier.
