Confused about clear blue ovulation

Yesterday at 16:09 I took a clear blue digital ovulation test and got a flashing smiley - great, dtd at 9pm.

Took another test just now expecting to see the static smiley and got the clear circle.

I must have ovulated at some point between ten past four yesterday and now but surely that’s the quickest ovulation ever!?

Your supposed to do the test in the morning not the afternoon. Using first urine.

Whether you’re supposed to or not (according to the blurb on them it doesn’t matter) my question is regarding my ovulation. FMU or not, it picked up on a surge around ten last four yesterday so ovulation must have followed quite rapidly. Just a bit worried we missed it! And also confused as to how as if I ovulated that fast, it should surely have been the static smiley …

ah well, we shall see, I’m getting used to negative pregnancy tests anyway!

@Spicycurry that’s really weird!! When you took the tests out did you happen to look how dark the 2 lines were at all? Xx

@Spicycurry could your urine have been more diluted when you took the test after the flashing smiley? Some people do have very quick surges how long have you been using opks?
