Methotrexate

Hi all, so basically thought I was 5 weeks 4 days pregnant. Started bleeding on Wednesday. On Thursday had a scan couldn’t see anything and they took bloods. My level was 110. Went back Saturday levels 115 now had bloods again today and levels 117 so they said that it’s. A pregnancy of unknown location. They have booked me in for another scan but said I’m probably going to need to take methotrexate.

My main questions are:

Is it awful? Are the side affects awful?
Does it work?
Can I get pregnant again at some point after 3 months or will I always have problems?
I thought it would all be over and now I feel so sad and shitty

I had the same in may, my levels kept hovering between 250 and 300

The methotrexate just made me feel tired and a bit run down and we couldn't TTC for 3 months so started again and of august.

Also, methotrexate worked first injection for me. Had bloods weekly for 2 weeks after xxx

Worked first injection for me, I was knackered though, you will probably need a bit of sleep. Got pregnant 2nd cycle after 3 month wait period, I had a blocked fallopian tube when they investigated.

The physical effects weren’t so bad but I felt an emotional wreck afterwards. Hope it goes ok OP.

I had 2 injections - day 1 and day 4 so my experience might be more severe (my levels were above the guidelines for methotrexate but the sac was small so they allowed me to have it)

I was absolutely knackered and slept the whole week I also had bad sickness but on the day 4 injection the nurse gave me anti sickness tablets and they were a god send! Ask for them.
