Hello. I’ve been TTC for the past 5 months. The first 4 months, I tracked my ovulation by testing daily and using period apps. I always ovulated around 2 weeks after my period finished, with a regular cycle of around 30-32 days. Always had bfn.
This month (month 5), I didn’t track anything. I’m a teacher and this month has been so stressful (severe behaviour from students, observations, and I’ve been interviewing for new posts). I’ve not even thought about TTC this month because I’ve been so stressed out. However, I have had unprotected sex roughly each week.
I haven’t tested for ovulation but assumed I ovulated around September 27th or 28th, as this was 14 days after my last period ended. Anyway, I’m now 14 days late. I’ve tested daily using first response early readers and each one has been negative. I rang my GP who suggested I could have PCOS so I’m having blood tests on Friday to explore this.
All day today I’ve had a mild ache around the area of my right ovary. I went to the bathroom at 9pm and when I wiped, there was very light pink blood on the tissue. I’ve been to the bathroom and wiped since and there’s been no blood. I’ve also put a pad on and it’s totally bloodless. I even put a finger up there and it came out with clear discharge on it, not blood. However, I’ve got period cramps. Normally when I get my period, I feel wet, and I have blood every time I wipe, and it’s always red. I’ve never had light pink blood before, and it’s really really weird for me to just have no blood again as normally I bleed constantly the second my period starts. My ovary pain has ended but my cramps are still here.
Now I’m thinking that maybe I ovulated later in my cycle because of stress, but would it really be possible to ovulate a week or two late?
I don’t feel like it’s possible that it could be implantation bleeding because of how late into my cycle it is but at the same time, I’ve never had a period like this before.
I have no more tests and I’m really reluctant to buy more because I’ve spent over £50 on them already. If I experience no more bleeding now, when would you recommend I test again? Or would you even bother?
Thank you
