5dpo and started bleeding HELP!

Currently 5dpo and went to the toilet and wiped and had brown discharge will post a picture below and then it turned like a light pinkish colour. And got mild cramps on my left side. My AF is not due for another 10 days can anyone help this has never happened to me before never had any bleeding between cycles! Sorry the the picture if anyone is offended!

Are you still losing brown blood? I’m really not wanting to nag you but the shooting pains and the inconsistent test results are signs of ectopic pregnancy. Ectopics don’t present with acute pain and heavy bleeding, they slowly progress with the brown blood and shooting pains inside and sometimes pulling behind the belly button.

It’s only when the tube ruptures that you get a heavy bleed but then it’s usually to late to save your tube. If you rang EPU and said I’ve had small amounts of pain and weak tests they would probs not take it serious but they are the very early signs. The shooting pains are textbook . If you are concerned you would have to specifically tell EPU your worried it could be ectopic and then they should scan you.

Again I’m sorry for being a pest, your update came up as a notification so that’s the only reason I looked at it and I can’t not tell you this stuff

Hey! I just came on here searching for someone mentioning bleeding starting on 5dpo. I have a 2.5 year old and when I was pregnant with him I started bleeding on day 5 after ovulation and on and off had bright red blood when I wiped or had a wee for 10 days. I thought it was my period coming super early so was really upset as thought my periods had got more regular. Anyway a week after the bleeding stopped I realised it wasn’t anything like my usual period and I didn’t have any period pain so took a test and was pregnant. That was after almost a year of trying so as you can imagine I was pretty ecstatic! He’s now a very feisty toddler haha. No doctor could ever give me an explanation why I bled like that.

We’ve been trying for our second and yesterday was 5dpo and I started with the same bleeding again. random bits of bright red blood once or twice in the last 24 hours and little bit of pink discharge. It’s a bit freaky if we’ve been successful at conceiving this month and the bleeding has started the exact same day as with my first! Came on here to see if anyone else has had similar and not ended up pregnant that month as I’m obviously getting myself carried away that we’ve conceived this month when it’s probably just a really early period 😂

No haven’t had any bleeding or spotting since I originally posted. Thank you I would feel really silly ringing EPU as like you said would probs just throw my symptoms off. I feel like I should give it a few days and wait see what happens. What do you think? Xx

Hello, honestly it’s so confusing. But that kind of gives me some hope but I’m over a week since the bleeding started and stopped and still not getting a good positive on a test only had 1 come up and believe it was an indent or evap line. So again don’t wanna get my hopes up. I feel like it should show up by now. And the doctors have been useless but it sounds like exactly the same as what you’ve experienced but I’ve never had mid cycle bleeding like that before especially with it being so close to last period which was the 6th-11th October and had nothing sense regards to a period only that like bleeding/spotting on the 21st honestly driving me crazy! But least we can go crazy together now 😂😂😊x

6th October would just put you at 4 weeks today so you might just need a few more days to get a positive test 🤞🤞 It drove me insane every month trying for my son and the month I actually conceived was the easiest because I thought I was well and truly out that month because of the bleeding. This time rounds it’s only making it more stressful because I know my body did that before and was pregnant!

You do what you think and what’s best for you love. If the bleeding stopped that’s good news and hopefully your test will be nice and strong in a few days ! It’s just the combination of symptoms gave me alarm bells. I doubt you would get so many indents or eVaps on different tests so hopefully it’s just too early. Good luck x

I did also bleed with my third child for three months and didn’t know I was pregnant because I thought I’d been having periods I wasn’t paying attention to dates because I was still breastfeeding my middle son. I took a test, got a positive then started bleeding heavy. I assumed it was a miscarriage but when they scanned me I was already 12 weeks! I’d thought I was four so that was a nice surprise. I’d had a small clot behind the placenta that was causing the blood loss, I had another big bleed at seventeen weeks and then pregnant and baby were fine. All kinds of strange this happen. I hope you both get clear positives soon x

What if my last period started on the 6th October if I was pregnant it would put me at just 4 week?? I'm gonna wait a couple of days and try again. Unless AF decides to turn up in between now and then. Yeah that must be even worse for you knowing that was a symptom for you. I have a 6 year old already but I had open heart surgery and found out 3 weeks later j was actually pregnant at the time of the surgery but didn't know so that was a crazy time of my life so can't remember any early symptoms apart from period pain and no period that's all I remember. Why are bodies can't just say oh your pregnant well done lol 😫 I feel like this every month it's horrible ttc been over a year now. But this month is different never spotted mid cycle and I just feel different but again it could all be in my head 🙈🙈 xx

Yeah it’s dated from the start of your last period so if that started 6th October then if you’re pregnant you’d be 4 weeks today. I know a few people who tested at 4 weeks and got a negative but then a few days later got a positive. You just never know…which is the massively frustrating bit!!!

So so frustrating I've read so many stories about people who didn't test positive for a while which give me a glimmer of hope but then I see people that test positive before they even missed there period at like 7-8dpo :/ feel like I'm clutching at straws right now! Every wipe when I got to the loo is terrifying waiting to see if AF shows up. Have you don't any tests yet??

It looked positive to me too. But haven’t had a positive in the last that I have done. The last 2 I have done in the afternoon/evening which I know I shouldn’t I just feel like they should still be positive if I had 1

My first positive showed around 2 days before my period. Only my morning urine though. Wait until first thing tomorrow.

Also it was very faint and only a first response did a decent job.

Did you have negatives if you tested mid day?

Not yet no, far too early for me as I’m only 7 dpo so I’d just be wasting tests at this point (not that I haven’t done that before 😂)

I'm wasting tests all the time it's an expensive obsession to have 🙈

Hello guys. Just an update. When to doctors today finally sore me. They felt my tummy and atm have ruled out any eptopic pregnancy and did a urine sample to check for infection that was all normal. They still wouldn’t do bloods told me to wait 1-2 weeks and test again! Still no AF but keep getting pains in my lower belly slash groin so guess I’ve just to wait now will keep you all updated :)

That looks like it could be pregnancy cervical mucus. Have you done a FRER test yet?

I did. fRER the other day and it was negative. So trying to hold of doing anymore. But starting to loose hope now :(

They can't rule out ectopic with a tummy feel. I'd ask for an early scan and blood test to confirm.

This is what I said. I said on the phone before I even went so your saying you can confirm that just by feeling my tummy she said yes. Cos apparently my tummy would be really hard if it was eptopic. They don't seem like they want to help until 2 weeks go by! Which is ridiculous they more time goes on I'm believing that I'm not pregnant cos i believe it would of come up by now. But something strange is going on lol

Honestly they hundred per cent cannot tell if its ectopic from feeling your stomach at such an early stage.

I don't want to say stuff to alarm you because you know your body and what your experiencing but if you get any really strong cramps of acute pain go to accident and emergency. I did and I told them I thought it was ectopic and they took me seriously and I was right.

I had the brown bleeding that was only on wiping, pain in my groin, shooing pains, my belly felt bloated and that was because I was slowly bleeding out into my uterus. I had other strange aches and pains and that was due pressure from bleeding on nerves. This was week one. On one night in week two I was up all night with bad cramps but they subsided and I went another week. Then this one day I had like spasms inside and I couldn't urinate properly and that day I finally got a positive test and because I'd been googling I instantly knew it was ectopic and went to a and e. They scanned me and saw a mass on my left tube. I was kept day In hospital and on that day it ruptured so it was too late to save the tube. I just told you all that so you can keep an eye on how things go for you
