Clear blue ovulation test - help!

Hi all,

Me and my DH have been trying to conceive for 14 months with no luck. This is the first month of us using ovulation tests and we're using the clear blue digital ovulation ones.

So, this morning I tested and had my first flashing smiley (yay). We DTD this morning. Then I read online somewhere that once you have a flashing smiley you might want to test again on the same day to try and catch your LH surge. So I've just done another test this evening. It's now a static smiley.

I know what a static smiley means but I only got my first smiley today. Have I done something wrong? What does this mean? I thought it would be a couple of days until it went static.

Should I test again tomorrow? Should I be DTD every day for the next few days?Sorry I just feel so lost!

@colourPink hey lovely, whereabouts in your cycle are you? Do you normally ovulate/peak around now?
I usually get a good few days of flashing smileys and then when it gets close to ovulation I’d use another in the evening and that’s when I’ve always got my peak so I doubt you’ve done anything wrong! Only thing I would say is I seem to get my peak a day earlier on clearblue than when I use the cheap LH strips so may be worth dtd for an extra couple of days in case xx

@ChloeN yesterday was day 16 of my cycle. Okay phew! Thanks so much. I was just checking as I didn't think I'd go from flashing to static in the same day.

The digital test won't let me do another one currently - it still has the static smiley. I think I'm just going to dtd today, sat and Sun. Will that be enough?

@colourPink i don’t think you’re meant to test again after static smiley, that’s it for the month! I’m sure that’ll be be more than enough☺️ let me know how this cycle goes! Xxx
