Should I test?

So I'm a day late for my period, and my bbt doesn't seem to be dropping. I know most people would have tested by now, but after over 2 years of trying, and many many negative tests. I'm scared incase it's negative again. Should I test or wait longer?

I'd test. It looks hopeful :)

Pumpkincat11 · 19/10/2022 08:35

I'll do one tonight after work if I can bring myself to 😂

@Pumpkincat11 I would, just to put you out of your anxious misery more than anything else! But I also get it if you don’t, it’s hard seeing a negative

Doowop1919 · 19/10/2022 09:00

I always found testing better as I hated the anxious waiting (2 and a half years trying with nothing). But I can understand why you're hesitant. Your chart looks promising so I'd test.

Lots of luck!

Pumpkincat11 · 19/10/2022 20:14

I tested, its positive!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

@Doowop1919 I'm so so sorry to hear that. The pain of then two and a half years must be so awful.

Sparklythings1 · 19/10/2022 20:33

Awww so pleased for you ☺️ Hope all goes well

Sparklythings1 · 19/10/2022 20:33

Did you have any symptoms? I’m testing on Friday or Saturday

Pumpkincat11 · 19/10/2022 20:40

@Sparklythings1 my back aches and my boobs are SO sore, however my back does ache every month so it didn't make me think anything. One other thing, is a week or so ago, I had some really watery discharge that was pink. But again I always spot, so I didn't think anything of it.

Thank you everyone ❤️

@Pumpkincat11 how did you stay positive and keep trying all this time?? I’m really struggling at the mo so it’s lovely to hear of success❤️

Readaboutyourself · 19/10/2022 20:57

Awesome update, congrats!

I’m 10 months into TTC at the mo. Do you think you did anything differently to get a great result this month?

Pumpkincat11 · 19/10/2022 21:04

@ChloeN honestly, I didn't. Every month I came on, I broke down. Every month. Every month my husband would wonder what he had to deal with that month. There's been times when I have considered whether life was even worth it. I honestly wouldn't wish this journey on my worst enemy, and I'm so sorry you're having to go through it. I'd say find people you can talk to, that probably helps the most.

@Readaboutyourself we started taking conceive plus ovulation and motility support 3 months ago, I can't say if they helped. We have been in the process of ivf and have both has multiple tests, I've been on Clomid, so the conceive plus might be a coincidence. Also, I full on broke down last month and said it was pointless even trying, and we just had sex because we wanted to, instead of 'having' to. Again, I don't think that's related, but that's all that changed 🤷‍♀️

@Pumpkincat11 sorry to hear you had to go through that but so glad you got your lovely bfp in the end☺️ I’ve not been trying anywhere near as long as you but I’ve had a mmc and cp since starting out so hard to stay positive after that!

Sparklythings1 · 19/10/2022 23:13

@Pumpkincat11 so that was probably implantation bleeding then? I didn’t have it last time but came out the bath tonight (7dpo) gutted because there was blood on my towel as I dried myself. I went and put a pad on and marked on my app AF had arrived. I’ve went to the toilet hours later and there’s no blood on the pad. The towel just has some brown watered down blood on it and it’s hard to see how much since I was obviously in the bath and it just started as I came out. I’ve gone from down in the dumps that I’m out, to now thinking I could be back in, frantically looking up when implantation bleeding happens 🙈 the tell tale will be whether there’s any more over night

TheBirdintheCave · 19/10/2022 23:43

Aww congratulations, OP! :D

Thank you, we had our boy through icsi following that 2 and a half years and are now naturally pregnant with his brother 😅

Huge congratulations to you! 🎉🎉

Pumpkincat11 · 20/10/2022 16:28

The day before I found out, I'd finally got my gynaecology referel, after waiting a year to start our fertility journey. I guess we had to wait for a reason 😂❤️
