SHORTER CYCLE GIRLS

Hey ladies! I have got shorter cycles.. between 25-27 days (not reeaally short but shorter end of 'normal'). I am TTC#1 cycle 4 and after tracking the last couple of months, I think I'm ovulating a little early in the cycle; usually around day 10.

Having done some reading it suggests that my eggs may be to immature at that stage to fertilise. Just wondering if anyone else is in the same boat and if you're doing anything to try to lengthen the follicular phase/can you? 🤔

Wondering now if that's what's perhaps stopped us from having success until now...

Shout out to any short cycle gals for how you're getting on/what you're doing/questions etc etc etc 🤍

As a currently pregnant short cycle gal (25-27 days, the odd one shorter or longer), I just want to let you know I got pregnant first month trying with DD and second month trying for this one (now 15 weeks). I read a lot of scary stuff online about perimenopause, immature eggs etc and convinced myself I had ‘issues’ as I ovulated early- CD 10-12. But obviously none of that turned out to be an issue, so just wanted to sprinkle some baby dust ✨ good luck!

Mine are 24 days and I'm currently 11 weeks! I've tracked ovulation via CM (only reliable "symptom" I get with ovulation) and it took us 2 cycles, with ovulation a whole 5 days after my period!
Not to rub it in your face, but it shouldn't be a huge obstacle necessarily! Fingers crossed you get your BFP very soon Smile

@Cuppasoupmonster @hulahoopqueen Ahhhh huge congratulations both!! 🎉😘 Amazing news and so reassuring. We are on cycle 4 now so I'm at the stage where I'm questioning everything and trying to place reason on things! I'm having a month off tracking and testing to see how we go but thank you for the kind words.

Hopefully others with short cycles will find them comforting too! Lots of luck and love for your pregnancies! Xx

Glad to hear some positives here, my last couple of cycles have been exactly 23 days - 10/11dpo today and AF due tomorrow, BFN this morning.

My cycles are 24-27 days and I got a bfp last week. Unfortunately I’m now miscarrying but it’s nothing to do with it being a short cycle. It was cycle 5 for us so there’s plenty of hope for you

Don't know if it helps but I have irregular cycles, usually 27-31 days with a random 22-24 day one a couple of times a year. I'm over 35, down one Fallopian tube and have been TTC for ages. I'm now pregnant from one of my 22 day months - the day that did it was day 8 of my cycle.

I had 21 day cycle right through my 30s, was peri menopause but didn’t realise till late, worked out I ovulated on day 7 and conceived twice quickly, including twins, that’s the thing with earlier menopause, you start releasing more eggs when their still young and healthy

Coraline353 · 18/10/2022 17:00

I had 23-25 day cycles before getting pregnant with both of my DC. Took 4 months and 3 months respectively.

Hi all, wondering how you are doing? I recently started tracking / temping - I have 19/20 day cycles and seemed to have O’d around day 6 last cycle.

Keen to hear success stories from similar short cycles. There’s a lot of info about short luteal phases but less scientific info on a short follicular phase …
