Anyone else starting Clomid this week/soon?

Hi all,

I'm starting my first cycle of Clomid tomorrow (CD2) just wondering on the off chance if anyone else is in the same boat and wants to talk about it/try to keep each other sane?

currently trying to conceive my first, one MC in April and no luck falling pregnant since so I've got my fingers crossed this is going to work for me

All normal on the blood tests though my FSH was high, but I do ovulate every month so the clomid is to boost chances rather than make me ovulate normally

Hey, I’m starting Clomid in the next two weeks, so it’s not exactly the same boat but similar. It seems I have weak ovulation/don’t ovulate properly, I’ve been TTC a year. Are you taking progesterone too?

@Desperatelyboredhousewife hey, no just the clomid at the minute, im a bit nervous about it and worried how long im going to be on it but it's definitely worth a try, would love to be one of those first month sucess stories but who knows

@Bluejeanbaby91 ah good luck! I’m also feeling nervous, really hope it works and don’t want to deal with the disappointment if it doesn’t. I picked up my prescription today, £60 lighter but cautiously hopeful! Fingers crossed for us both that we are lucky first time

Hey, I am doing my first Letrozole cycle this month.
I have had 2 x miscarriages this year.
I ovulate late in my cycle after stopping contraceptives.
I also have had spotting 7dpo every cycle for the last 5.
I am to begin progesterone this month too to hopefully help with this🤞🏻

All new to me!

Are you guys have scans to monitor follicle growth?

Hey @Jendy87 so sorry to hear about your miscarriages. It sounds like we have similar cycles - I ovulate around day 20 and have short LPs too. I’ve not been offered scans but I imagine that may come later if these 3 months aren’t successful. Best of luck to you!

Hi there all, im starting clomid in the next week for the very first time. Just finished Provera to induce a bleed and then can start! I have PCOS so dont think im ovulating myself so plesse god the clomid gives me the wee kickstart i need!

Today is my last day and to be honest I'm pleased it's done for the month, I've had a mild headache everyday since taking it and quite strong cramping pains at night, not to mention the hot flushes for about an hour each day after taking it, just hoping I can be one of the lucky ones where it works in month one so I don't have to try again next month!

Luckily I’ve not had any hot flashes, been taking mines at night.
I have had unusual groin pain though.
Hoping it’s not an ovarian cyst made worse by the meds 🤞🏻

Does anyone use ovulation strips?

I use them yeah, I'll update on here when I get peak if that helps anyone, not sure if it will be sooner or later, I think a lot of people record a longer peak so we'll see
