Ovulation

Hi, I have TTC for 2 months now and am using the Flo app. I have also been using the clear blue digital ovulation tests but so far haven’t had a positive result. Just a bit worried that I’m not ovulating even though my periods have been regular. Does anyone have any experience or advice? Not sure if I should contact my doctor or not

thanks!

How long is your cycle? Have you used the CB digitals from early enough and carried on long enough?

28 day cycle to be honest I’m not sure I am doing it properly I have been testing every day for the 5 days before Flo app is saying I should ovulate up until my period - is that right? Sorry I know I sound stupid

@ChateauProvence no def not stupid to ask anything. TTC is a minefield and getting others opinions has really helped me. It sounds about right what your doing. You should start testing on CD8 according to the instructions which is probably where you are starting from as I imagine your app thinks you ovulate on CD14 and really if your carrying on up until AF arrives it should be showing you something. Either your LH surge is just too low for it to detect which I should think is odd or you are correct and your not ovulating which I'm sure isn't the case how old are you? Have you done any LH strips alongside the CB at all? I think if it was me I would ring the GP but I know they can be very dismissive of these things esp as you have only been trying for 2 months they will likely just say keep trying. Do you track your basal temperature at all? The only other thing I can think is you ovulate a little earlier than CD14 so you would need to start testing much sooner so the baseline on your CB is then wrong and might not show a surge. Sorry there's lots of questions in there 🙈

Thanks so much @mummatara I think from next month I will just have to test daily from the day my period stops all the way through to see what happens. I have used a mix of digital and the strips but have not had a positive. But my periods have been regular. I’m 32 so am hoping that I am ovulating but am getting a bit worried. I think i will phone the GP and just be forced as if there is a problem I want to know sooner rather than later
