So after a long year of miscarriages since last October(4) to be exact, I've finally been given metformin to try give us a better chance at ttc, obviously conceiving isn't the issue.. it's holding on to them!!

What's peoples experiences been like with this medication??

Hello!

I don’t have the answer to this but wanted to follow because I’m having a blood test to see if I have PCOS because I’ve had 2 miscarriages!

hope you’re doing ok lovely! One of my friends has PCOS and she had been given metformin and she has 1 miscarriage and is now 12 weeks pregnant! 🤞🏽 x

Hiya, I got diagnosed via a scan when I was 16, I went onto having a little boy back in 2019 completely unplanned so not sure if I had any kind of trouble ie (chemical pregnancies)ect when I conceived him but since my first miscarriage last October it's made me want this so bad... then it just continuously happened n now I'm screaming for help as the last miscarriage has messaged me up so bad, didn't have a period for 3 months then took tablets to kick start n now again 2 months with no period... never wanted to bleed so much in my life😴 hoping this is really going to help.. x

Unfortunately I can't answer as far as miscarriages go since my issue is struggling to actually get pregnant but I do know that there have been several studies that show its effectiveness in lowering the risk of miscarriage in pcos women.
My experience with metformin has been a very rocky one. I really struggled to tolerate it 💩 😳
