Ovulation

So I’ve started tracking my ovulation this month for the first time. My cycles are pretty regular and I’m now on day 18 of my cycle. I thought I was about to ovulate last Wednesday - my cervical mucus was like that of an egg white, stringy and stretchy (apologies for description). I was also getting a pain in my right side which I often get around ovulation time, although I still have it today nearly a week later. My tests have got darker but none of them have been AS dark as the other line. Have I ovulated? Going by my cycle I should have ovulated around Friday, but I’m a bit clueless. There was one stick that was definitely darker than the rest. The sticks have now gone back to no line whatsoever. Any help or advice would be much appreciated.

With OPKs, there is always a chance you may miss your LH surge, but it depends how often you test. If it's once a day, then potentially those darker ones may have been your surge. But if you're testing 3+ times a day then I'd say you just haven't ovulated yet.

My cycles are fairly regular but I'll have maybe 2 or 3 off-cycles a year where I ovulate much later. I'd keep testing, as you may find that you just haven't ovulated yet.
