Pregnancy Anxiety

Hey all,

I just wanted some advice on how to relive my anxiety of my pregnancy going wrong and ending in a loss! Last month I had a chemical pregnancy and today I had a positive pregnancy test at 11dpo, my plan is to test again the end of next week to see if there's been any progression with the line as it was only faint today. My anxiety is through the roof of me having another chemical pregnancy or any kind of loss and fill like I'm just going to wishing my life away to get to the next milestone of another weeks pregnant 😩

What do people do to help relieve their anxiety?!

Just got to keep yourself busy chick, I was panicking everyday up until about 10 weeks pregnant, and I found out very early which didn't help, so I understand what you're going through. I would check my underwear every half hour it felt, but it does ease, just got to get your mind busy doing different things or you'll drive yourself mad x

Hi

I'm sorry I have no useful advice, but am in exactly the same position. MC last month at around 6 weeks and bfp at 11dpo on Friday with no period in between.

I am also really anxious, and freak out every time I think my boobs aren't that sore, but am just trying to think that what will be will be and just having to ride it out.

Totally get your anxiety though and hope all goes well and it eases soon!

have you read the Positive Birth Book? i've been reading it lately, and it's done wonders for a lot of my fears. like a personal pep talk. hang in there x

Hey @jessiexo this post seems to have even written for me! Test positive albeit feint at 11DPO today and although happy, so nervous it'll go away. I'll trying to celebrate getting lines rather than anything more to start with and will test every day for my nerves. When do you call a GP? This is my first BFP ever..

jessiexo · 03/10/2022 17:50

@ExcitedandNervousC1 hey!! So as suggested by others I'm going to try keep busy and also look at buying the book recommend!! Where I'm from I can fill out a online form for the booking appointment which is what i'm going to do next week after my missed period! It's such a hard time but keep positive ☺️

@jessiexo how are you getting on? I'm 4+2 today so going to see my GP Monday which will be 4+4 :) hoping if that goes OK to book in my early scan around 7.5/8 weeks

jessiexo · 08/10/2022 17:12

@ExcitedandNervousC1 hi!! I'm doing really good, I will be 5 weeks on Monday and got my 2-3 weeks on a clear blue digital today! Apart from feeling sick in the morning and sore boobs I'm doing well for now 😆 how are you getting on?!xx

@jessiexo good to hear! Am at 4+4 myself and went to the GP today although she wasn't overly friendly and put me more on edge so kinda wish I hadn't gone! Going to look to book my scan for 7+5 so I have something to look forward to!

Are you booking in any scans?

ExcitedandNervousC1 · 23/10/2022 22:26

Hi Ladies! Checking back in to see how everyone is getting on?

I'm currently 6+3 so feeling a little easier with every passing week and have my first scan booked in for when I'm 7+6:)

jessiexo · 24/10/2022 19:01

@ExcitedandNervousC1 so glad everything is going well for you! I'm 7 weeks today but for a scan on Thursday at my early pregnancy unit just for some mild cramps last week but had that with my daughter so I'm not to stressed!

Firstly, congratulations. That’s lovely news. I felt like this too, I was pregnant after a miscarriage so know exactly how you’re feeling. I think to some extent it’s totally normal to feel worried in the first trimester, but only because people don’t go tend to share the new widely until after then, so you mistakenly think the worse. The thing that helped me was having regular scans. Some NHS & some paid for. At my local hospital they were good with anxious patients & let us have extra scans to ease our worries. I hope everything goes ok for you, I’m sure it will do ☺️

ExcitedandNervousC1 · 24/10/2022 19:20

Totally agree on the scans! Have one at 7+6 and then another hopefully as part of my nipt at 9+5 :)

When are you both thinking of telling people? I was thinking of telling my mom after my 8 w scan all going well and then everyone else at 12 weeks!
